What's not to love. Great location, friendly, accommodating staff. Views are amazing, breakfast tastes good. We just had an amazing time here. Highlight was having dinner whilst bubbling away in the jacuzzi.

Ricardo and staff were extreme helpful and welcoming. They made sure we had the best experience possible and were able to give great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. This is perfect for couples looking for a relaxing retreat from Medellín or just a long weekend. The breakfasts were also excellent (I don’t normally eat breakfast but must have had their omelette every day).

Whether you’re climbing the iconic El Peñol rock for panoramic vistas, strolling through the vibrant streets adorned with ornate zócalos, or gliding across the serene lake on a boat tour, every moment in Guatapé is infused with charm. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, soak in the scenery, and feel genuinely connected to nature and local life. However, the only negative to say is that many roads are not paved, which is due to the government's and private conflicts, for such a tourist area is a shame to see that. Hopefully it can improve.

    Super great local lake getaway vibes.

    Super great local lake getaway vibes. Take a boat tour of the lake (sizes range from a private solo tour up to a big party boat); climb the gigantic rock if you don’t mind the 650 steps up & down; visit the vegan restaurant a couple blocks off the main square; talk to the locals - they’re super friendly!

    Guatape is beautiful and the food is 10/10.

    Guatape is beautiful and the food is 10/10. It’s the complete opposite of the city though so it depends on what vibe you are looking for. I definitely would recommend staying at the Brown’s if you are spending a night or two in Guatape. We went there for dinner and then again to spend the day at the beach club snd it was amazing.

    It is a full house and perfect for a family staying for a few days. For us, or anyone staying one night, I would say this. It is difficult to find after dark, but the owner did send a tuk tuk to get us after we couldn't find it.

    What a great place to visit.

    What a great place to visit. We are coming back to climb Piedre del Penol and spend more time with the friendliest people I've ever met with beautiful zocalos, art, restaurants, I can't say enough good things.

    A great location to enjoy nature and good food. It is quite diverse so you can have the local colombian experience or get lost in the middle of the nature in a boutique hotel enjoying the views and amazing food

    What a gem. We were super satisfied. Tge staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious. I also recommend to eat lunch and dinner in the hotel as they have cheaper prices than in the city. The room was tidy and the bed was really comfy. The location is private, yet easy to reach the rock and Guatape. Kayaking in front of the hotel and pool + jacuzzi in the sister hotel is included in the price. We could have not got more for this price. Thank you.

    We chose this hotel to take a break from big city trips and to visit nearby Guatapé. This was the best stay of our entire trip in Colombia. The place is gorgeous with an amazing staff, and the food is exceptional. Enjoy the restaurant and room service as much as you can; the food is on another level. The whole experience was fantastic!

    We had an amazing time! From the hotel you have a great view at Guatape Rock and the staff was very helpful. We also booked a boat tour around the lake at the hotel. We had dinner at the hotel twice and had very nice drinks and meals. Thank you for the great time, we would love to come back some day!
