The location is incredible: beautiful but calm and peaceful (I really couldn't believe that this place wasn't overrun by tourists, less beautiful places are), colibris at breakfast, incredible (but challenging) trails with waterfalls at the reserve (you actually need two full days for the reserve, although I only had one because I also visited Cloudbridge). Also a big thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff: they made great suggestions for my hiking day in the reserve, they drove me to my cabin with a car because there was heavy rain when I arrived, meals were great, ...

The hotel is as close as you can get to the entrance for the Chirripo National Park. The rooms are nice, simple and with everything you need. The staff is really helpful and nice. There's even a physiotherapy place located in the hotel. The bonus of this place is that you can leave your car park there until you come back from the hike and they also lend you the showers afterwards.

Near to Chirripó registration offices for the park and for Crestones, this is a comfortable hotel tucked up on the mountain side with a delicious restaurant and pleasant grounds to walk on. The reception helped us get a ride to the trailhead for our climb, too.
