The host! The bar has been set si high for Costa Rican hospitality! Our family was so spoiled while here, we were sad to leave. We saw macaws, howler monkeys, toucans and clothes other types of birds, just like that, roaming the property. We also loved the unlimited number of fresh coconut (pipas) We ate at the property three times and we enjoyed the food very much at well. The pool was a highlight with the kids and the adults:) All in all an excellent stay for our family

Very nice place by the river, with a good price and perfect surroundings. We loved it and even stayed an extra night because the place was so relaxing. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and there is a very relaxed and friendly dog. We even saw two sloths during our stay.

This place is...magical. I felt like Alice in Wonderland the whole time. It's the baby of a CR artist who bought the land in the 80s. His artist friends all wanted to come and visit, so he had to make more room. All by himself and his friends. And then more artists from all over came, helped with the build and left their mark everywhere- murals, sculpures, whatever. And I have this from the horse's mouth, as we had the privilege to meet both the owner and his grandson in person. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall back then...And the drive up there is amazing as well. This place is mindblowing.

The remote location, the owner of the lodge (Pedro) and our guide on the bird watching walk at 6:00 in the morning. The food was really good! The deck of the lodge where we saw animals and birds was also great.
