The cabins are set in a very beautiful rural area; the various thermal pools are impeccable and the surrounding gardens are beautifully groomed. Breakfasts can be varied and are delicious, as are the dinners too.

I am unsure why this lodge has a 2-star rating on Booking; it should have at least 4 stars. Here's why: 1. The location: It is spectacular; you don't see anything else but mountains and hills surrounding this lodge. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is in its backyard, providing several activities to do either independently or with a tour guide. We opted for guided tours offered by the Rinconcito Lodge (note that not all tour guides speak English). We took the horseback ride tour, starting at the Rinconcito. We rode for 45 minutes to the Santa Maria Rangers Station (entrance fee not included in the tour price). After leaving the horses at the Ranger station, we walked to the hot springs, the Morpho Waterfall, and the enchanted forest. I also highly recommend the canopy/zipline tour; we did 7 lines of canopy, and the views from the largest lines were breathtaking. The entire experience was amazing! 2. The room: The bed was comfortable, and the room (we had the mountain view room) was exactly as described in the Booking listing, with a mini fridge and AC which we did not need to use because the temp in that room was perfect. There were no surprises, except for the fact that we were amazed by how beautiful the room and the views were in real life. Waking up every morning to the sounds of colibris and other birds was simply amazing! 3. Public areas: All public areas are well-maintained and clean. We spent hours in the hammocks by the pool, and the pool itself was clean and well-kept. We absolutely loved it. 4. The restaurant: It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. The food was well worth it! Breakfast was included so that was a huge plus. Their drinks and desserts were fantastic too. We had the best food in Costa Rica at the Rinconcito Lodge. 5. The staff: They truly have a fantastic staff who care about their guests having a great time. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family :)

The hostess Yockgen (Yocky) gave us a warm welcome and we felt immediately at ease. The lodge is in a beautiful garden with hummingbirds and lots of other birds. Yocky provided transport to the national park and the hot springs and even to the bus. The food is excellent and the pasta tasted like a pasta should taste when you eat pasta in Italy! I had some problems with mosquito bites and Yocky’s mother Rosa provided some homemade natural repellent and even some natural medicine for the stomach. We had a wonderful time there and even wanted to stay longer, but that was not possible unfortunately. Thank you Yocky and Rosa for making us feel at home.

Great rural location. Accommodation is well equpped. Garden is a green oasis. Best accessed by car but can take bus from Loberia and ask bus driver to stop outside Greenhouse Lodge. Ana the host is very helpful. As we didnt have a car, she arranged for a taxi to take us to the local hot springs and also to Upala bus station so that we could then catch bus to La Fortuna.

We absolutely loved this accommodation! Lovely house in a big green yard with outdoors kitchenette, beautiful for a nice breakfast in the morning. The hosts are so welcoming and really made sure we had everything.

Great central location to all the attractions as National Park and Springs. Delicious dinner offered by the host (home made) which was the testiest that we ate in Costa Rica for good price. Quiet and isolated surroundings. Welcoming host who advised on on best attractions , logistics decisions and everything!

It was great the man was amazing and very helpful. The woman also was very helpfull. Loved the owners.

Nice landlord and breakfast is made on site in the morning. huge area and great view. lots of birds and washing facilities.

Our visit to this lodge was unforgettable!The rooms and all the property have a very special charm:) Everything was clean and very much thought about. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was amazing and plenty, they cooked eggs from their own chickens! Owners' hospitality was exceptional, it was pleasure to meet such a wonderful couple! We hike the trails and visited hot springs pool nearby. Highly recommend this place for families and couples, you will not regret:)
