What a delightful stay. The whole property is lush and beautiful and huge- an amazing retreat so close to the airport after a long flight. Excellent location, just about 15 minutes from the airport. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great advice on everything we asked. Our room was very spacious, and the beds were super comfortable. We especially loved the terrace and the delicious breakfast served directly to our room, which we enjoyed with a lovely view of the jungle. Overall, everything was perfect, room was very clean and we would definitely recommend this place!

San Antonio itself is a great base to travel from, it is close to Airport and to Car rentals, there are Supermarkets nearby also if self catering, however it is a little too far from other central attentions if your intension is to stay in San Jose itself.

Cute little town near the airport.

Cute little town near the airport. Probably not a destination, but, if you have a night to kill before flying out, it's fine. Otherwise, there isn't anything I know of to draw visitors. Couple cute restaurants on the main street. Felt safe walking around after dark.

We did more in San Antonio than we expected to do.

We did more in San Antonio than we expected to do. The church in the center of town was welcoming, and there are a lot of restaurants with good food and service. The bussing to other areas (San Jose and Heredia) is well marked and has an appropriate schedule. Plus, the area felt safe to walk after sunset. Because of its convivence, we extended our hotel stay to stay in the area, and only bussed to San Jose for the day.

For us La Rivera is a take off and arrival point, so the easy airport access is important. It is an easy walk to a phone store or Pali supermarket for some basics, and the local pista, church and park give you a safe introduction to Costa Rica. There is not much else to do in the immediate area.

A very nice small hotel. Clean. Rooms smallish, but fine. There's a small swimming pool, but quite OK. Good breakfast. Excellent restaurant/panaderia/ coffee shop open all day until 10pm. Friendly, helpful staff. The free shuttle to the airport took 20 minutes. It leaves the hotel on the hour, and from the airport on the half hour. It was in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood, with shops, restaurants, etc., within walking distance of the hotel. Very convenient for the airport.

We needed an airport hotel for the night, it’s close by for convenience and set in a relaxing large garden that is well maintained with a pool. You can hear the big jets taking off but that didn’t disturb our nights sleep, we slept well in a large room with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Airport taxi arranged by hotel cost $10 and arrived early for our 04.00 transport.

Rachel the receptionist was just wonderful and the rooms were large and very well cleaned. In terms of proximity to the airport the hotel works - a short taxi ride. The hotel has a lovely pool and everything it needs to be a really great choice - yet I wouldn't choose it a second time.

Staff are friendly here. I left for airport at 3:00 AM. They prepared fruit and coffee as breakfast for me. They also kindly help me receive packages. Also, the room is very huge. Food is also great in the restaurant of the hotel.
