Generally quiet, even next to the highway. We were greeted by the owner's two teenage sons. Clearly managers in training. The kitchen beside the pool was well equipped for our breakfast of cold cereal. There is a hot plate and BBQ which we did not try out. Both beds were pushed against the walls. We were able to move the double bed away from the wall and use the side chair so both sides of the bed could have a bedside table of sorts. Towels are thick, soft.and absorbant. Shower is slow to heat but then warm.

Excellent place to relax on the beautiful Tamarindo beach. The hotel offers excellent service and beautiful facilities, surrounded by gardens and nature. Within the hotel, you will see a variety of birds, monkeys, iguanas, and cats. Seeing monkeys was a special experience. Being on the beachfront, there's easy access to great surfing. In this paradise, you can enjoy nature at its peak. From the moment we arrived as a group, we felt at home. Breakfast is tasty, with wonderful cheese, delicious coffee, and various egg options. We also enjoyed the restaurant for several evenings and the food. The bar service has delicious cocktails and tasty pina colada. Our special thanks to the reception staff, Irwin, and Moises from the concierge service. This hotel is the best value in Tamarindo, so we would like to stay here again.

Tamarindo has everything you need. Crazy expensive advice is to buy duty free at the airport. Stop outside of Tamarindo and buy water and snacks because you will pay double inside Tamarindo. We love Dragon fly bar and Grill!

Tamarindo is a nice place to visit if you want to relax on the beach for a few days. The beach is clean and there are a variety of other activities available in the area as well as respectably priced accommodation. You can make a visit as busy or as quiet as you like. Plenty of places to eat and drink.

Town is just big enough that there are lots of shops, restaurants, and things to do. Gorgeous beach also. But small enough that you can walk everywhere. It's a good base for the northwest area but doing a day trip to a volcano or other sights is hours each way.

The most wonderful vibrant town! Will definitely be back. Recommend dinner and music at L'Estanco El Jardin Escondido & dancing at El Garito. Also enjoyed my surf lesson booked with Tamarindo Surf & Tours through Localbird.

I absolutely love Costa Rica and extremely dislike Tamarindo. Tamarindo is the opposite of the soul of Costa Rica. Driving into Tamarindo from anywhere else on the pacific coast is a complete shock - a nosedive into consumerism, price gauging, bad food, constant harassment from vendors, laced with a background of drugs and overall sketchiness, and all dressed up in a sellers mask of "pura vida"... but believe me when I say there is no pura vida in Tamarindo.

Tamarindo has a nice beach, but way too many tourists. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants in a small amount of space. I felt claustrophobic. Lots of wealth in the area mixed with pobreza. Appears to be mostly Americans and Europeans with the wealth.

This was the very first time to Costa Rica and even though we only had a day and a half to stay there due to business we enjoyed our stay the hotel was amazing it was in a good location. The correspondence prior to our arriving was absolutely excellent. They arranged for us to have a shuttle pick up at the airport and delivered us back to the airport Henry at the front desk and Melanie at the kitchen shall I say we're excellent everyone spoke very good English and they were very helpful for anything and everything we needed.

Beautiful property owned and operated by Sergio and Mariela; two of the nicest people you could ever meet. They are both artists and have utilized their talents in the decoration of their suites and in the design of the pool and garden area. There are only three suites on the property, so it makes for a unique and private experience. Everything is clean and well maintained, and the housekeeping is excellent. We would definitely stay there again when visiting this area of Costa Rica.

The hotel is super stylish and perfectly located. I really enjoyed my stay there. The hotel manager and the staff were especially nice and helped me in many situations. The café is also excellent, and the breakfast was simply delicious! Everything was perfect! I would stay at this hotel again anytime and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a central yet quiet and cool spot in Tamarindo.

There location is great and they have parking outside. They have cold water available on the second floor. The breakfast is very good in the cafe: a coffee of a typical Costa Rican breakfast or pancakes (the cafe con leche is similar to a cappuccino).
