It was a pleasure staying at Hotel Savana. The building as such is just beautiful and the rooms are very special with a great view. Great location in a very nice little town. We enjoyed it a lot!!! Everything. Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Sao Filipe. the location is great, next to the beach and in the city center. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast very tasty. But most of all the friendly staff will help you out with anything. we rented a car at the reception, they picked us up at the airport for free and helped us out with our next stay in CV. Will definitely cone back here if I have the opportunity!

The staff were excellent, especially the young woman who tried to teach us Kriole. We could see the sea from our room and small balcony and enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here.

    Two days in Fogo is way too short - but I booked nine more days in the wonderful hotel Ocean View - and that was a perfect lenght for visiting this VERY interesting island Fogo. But DO NOT react to ANYBODY offering You ANYTHING in the street - I had real bad experience with that - a tourist guide cheated mo for one hundred euro plus a wasted day...
