A great city to explore on foot or by bike. We really enjoyed a 3 hour bike tour to take in some of the main attractions. You can do a lot in a weekend but I will definitely go back to explore further.

I got stolen 30 euros from here by a woman asking or donations to help deaf children.. I meant to give only 10, but she swipped a 20 euro bill out of my hands and refused to give it back. Had to skip dinner because of that! History is amazing, but aside from the historical sites (brandenburg, victory column, cathedral, palace), the city was not pretty at all. Honestly, it looked like Chicago had sprinkles of Washington DC. Using the public transit system is NOT intuitive at all, and I would probably have gotten lost if I didn't meet anyone who spoke english. Metro stations are also lined with scary people who are homeless, on drugs, drunk, etc. City is insanely cold and very windy. If you are a solo female traveler, I would NOT recommend! I felt very unsafe here traveling at night.

It’s beautiful to see the city and felt also the pain of what happen in the past. But so happy I finally visited the memorial wall. The Brandenburg gate was amazing to stand tall. So happy to found Burger King and have my chicken nuggets…so many nice restaurants but I don’t know the food so I stick to what’s familiar to me. The locals are friendly even just a smile.

Berlin is a very beautiful and impressive city, lots of activities for couples and families, lots of historical sites despite the history. There are always shows and lots of museums, plenty of food from all different sources. Not boring at all.A city like Berlin is so beautiful that you really need to take a half-day guided tour to understand it. In addition to the diverse street food, there are highly recommended restaurants, Indian, the really good HB Munich restaurant, and of course clothing stores.

Great, accessible city with very good transport links.

Great, accessible city with very good transport links. Recommend a travel pass for the trains/subways/buses /trams as there are quite complex ‘rules’ - validating tickets and range of choices is quite complicated. Beautiful buildings, lots of history and cultural interest. Lots of trees, gardens and parks. Beware of ‘cycle lanes’ - easy to step on to them in error.

Nice place, a lot of things worth to see/visit.

Nice place, a lot of things worth to see/visit. However, quite unpleasant is the area of the main station - it smells of weed, strange existences hanging around, annoying - one must not stop even for a while... immediately surrounded by them. Otherwise, Berlin, at least the center, looks very nice in autumn 👍 What was surprising to me, this central part, where the hotel was (in front of the Museum für Naturkunde) was very quite in the night...! Great, one can air in the night.
