Beautiful little town. A must see castle. The boat ride was disappointing. A recording in English with the town history would have been nice as this is a tourist attraction. A lovely town , compact and easy to get around.
A lovely town , compact and easy to get around. Lots to see and do and the local community are friendly. Be prepared for busy season with coach tours. We visited in early October and missed the crowds. The Hieronimi wine cellar ( not to be confused with the hotel of the same name), does an excellent 8 glass wine tasting. Cochem is a very pretty town on the moselle river.
Cochem is a very pretty town on the moselle river. The river walking and biking paths are scenic. The one hour river boat tour is a nice way to see the vineyards. The shops are nice. The castle is nice to walk up to and see the views of Cochem. One can rent an ebike to ride along the river pathways or one can jog or walk along the river pathways. Not a lot to do there.
Not a lot to do there. Each day, our focus was on leaving and going to other places within reasonable driving distances. It's a good hub to get to other, more interesting places. The one place within Cochem that was worth the time, energy, and money is a visit to the castle that looms over it.Guest review byAlanUnited States

We booked a Classic Suite which was clean, spacious and with a great view of the castle and the river. The staff were efficient and professional. We will definitely re-visit the Park Hotel, Cochem. We required a car parking space and we arrived at 5p.m. and secured one of the last spaces. It might be worthwhile arriving a little earlier just to make sure that a car parking space is available. The hotel had lovely staff, lovely rooms and the breakfast rooms were a delight looking over the Mosel. The breakfast was typical German, large and with plenty of choice.
