A huge, comfortable and clean room. Convenient location to the airport. I accidentally booked the wrong night and we turned up late and there was no key. The owner came to the hotel and let us in anyway and was so lovely about it! A short walk to the river. Warm, has elevator and was very large compared to other similar hotels. Taxi to the airport was 45€.

We had a delayed flight from Bologna and missed our connection so had to stay the night near Munich Airport. This place was a real find. Clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast included in the price. Staff were helpful and cheerful. A couple of kms to the centre of Freising but bus stop outside and in any event the walk from the centre was easy. Very pretty town. Excellent transport links to the airport. So although we had not chosen to stay in the first place, this hotel made it worthwhile.

Freising is a university town, and the oldest brewery of the world is there which offers visit and beer tasting. A restaurant with great atmosphere to be visited after the brewery tour. World class entertainment.

We loved this town!

We loved this town! It was a surprise visit to Freising due to cancelled connection flight, but we loved it so much we would return. It is an historic town containing the oldest running brewery in the world -- 1200 years. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to tour the brewery or the church perched high above the town. Like everything in the town, it was an easy walk from our Marriott Hotel to the train station and 1/2 hour trip to Munich. There were numerous restaurants serving local as well as international specialties. If you are there in the summer, you will be treated to beautifully crafted ice cream dishes throughout the town. Walking around the town to investigate each of the picturesque streets, including having the river Isar run though it, was our favorite passtime.

Freising is a beautiful historical town located not far from the Munich airport. It has a large pedestrian area, many shops, restaurants, and the oldest brewery in the world. An easy walk from the train/bus station. An ideal place to stay if flying into or out of the Munich airport.

Picturesque old city (Altstadt).

Picturesque old city (Altstadt). We spent the day in Munich, and we all wished we had just come to Freising and spent the time there. Shops and museum were all closed but it was very picturesque to walk through nonetheless. They are celebrating their 1300 year anniversary in 2024!!!

A lovely town with lots of independent shops, great eateries...

A lovely town with lots of independent shops, great eateries and fab transport links to Munich and other cities. Weißbräu Huber at the top of the high street always provides excellent food and service as does the Freisinger Augustiner also on the high street. You can also eat and drink at the oldest brewery in the world Bräustüberl Weihenstephan which is a lovely walk up to. If you are walking through the woods then a stop at Plantage Biergarten is worth a stop. Munich S-Bahn (S1 line) ends at Freising or you can hop on the main train line and visit lots of local cities such as Passau, Munich, Regensburg, Landshut etc. all worth a visit. Travel in late spring / Summer and enjoy the outdoor pools (FREIBAD) which are exceptional. One of my favourite cities for location, amenities.

It's a good, comfortable hotel and was cheaper than many alternatives in the Munich Airport area. The hotel is in Freising, which is a charming town and very pleasant for an afternoon/evening stroll. Supermarket is a 10-minutre walk for food and snacks. There is an hourly minibus service to the airport (8-seater) which is 15 euro in the morning and 30 euro in the afternoon. However this is not provided by Marriott and so you'd need to check if it's still available when travelling.
