Very friendly staff, always ready to help, especially at the restaurant! Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfasts were very good, wide choice of vegetables and fruits, fresh bread, different types of cheese and ham, cereals, tasty omelette a d sausages. Coffee was also very tasty. Dinner buffet was also beyond the expectations, especially on Friday and Saturday evening: fish, meat, chicken, vegetables, wide range of desserts, soup of the day - very delicious! The bar is very cosy, nice choice of drinks and cocktails. The Spa area was amazing as well: warm enough swimming pool, two big saunas, the massage was very relaxing and professional: the best I’ve ever tried at the hotels! The location is very good-many skiing slopes nearby, just 5-10 min by car. Enough space for parking a car. Even when the hotel is full of guests, the staff is very quick and always try to help with everything!!!

Staying here has been one of our favourite holidays. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everyone (including other, mostly German, guests) have made us feel very welcome with our 11week old baby. When he occasionally cried / winged at dinner, people would say “don’t worry, it’s just a special kind of music for us” <3 , made a week long stay with a young baby so much less stressful, it was truly wonderful. The full board is a great value for money, great breakfast with lots of fresh bread and pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, plenty of options for tea and coffee, lots of fresh fruit and hot cooked options as well. It also has a chef station where you can oder custom omelettes as well as pancakes! Lunch is a similar set up i.e. buffet and salad bar, and everyday there are different options which keeps it interesting if you’re staying for a longer period of time. For dinner, you have a delicious 5 course meal with your choice of main. The Spa facilities are very zen and relaxing, done up to a very high standard. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are heated to 30 degrees with plenty of sun beds in the garden as well as inside. There are 4 different saunas, ice tray and scented showers, plenty of relaxing rooms including a Himalayan salt room and heated hung beds. You also get a free scrub and aloe vera cream to use. The Spa also has chilled water and apple juice on tap and a tea / coffee station. Treatments were lively and relaxing at a very reasonable rates. The bedroom was very spacious, with very comfortable bed and overall a fantastic layout and design of the room! The location is absolutely stunning, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest, with hiking trails a short walk from the hotel. There are plenty of things to do, including a free zoo at Lusen, which is only a short drive away. A wonderful place for an active or relaxing (or both!) holiday. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful, historical hotel in the forest. Very, very good food: great choise for breakfast and really delicious dinners in the evening. Nice pool and great sauna area in the forest. The location is wonderful, inside the nature with great view on the mountain.

Fresh air and relaxing nature. Short distances to the nature park and other activities such as mini-golf or paddle boating. The roughly one-hour hike around Lake Arber is a lovely experience. You can also find good food in nearby Zwiesel (as in Lindberg).

Beautiful hiking trails, peace and quiet, good places to stop for refreshments, friendly people and many excursion options, such as Passau, the farm museum in Tittling, and also a charming little museum with a great beer garden and a pretty old farmhouse.

Buchenau is a small village on the edge of the national park...

Buchenau is a small village on the edge of the national park. You can take some truly fantastic hikes from the guesthouse to the Hochschachten and the Zwiesler high moor. I've rarely seen anything more beautiful. We were there in July. The guesthouse has excellent food and very friendly staff. I can highly recommend it for a short break.

Lindberg is a beautiful, idyllic place nestled in the woods. It's very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility! Everything is easily accessible from Lindberg, for example, the idyllic Schwellhäusl, the Arber mountain, the lakes, and so on. It's well worth a visit.

The room with en-suite bathroom was perfectly fine, very clean, and above all, extremely quiet. There was nothing to complain about at the indoor pool either. The view of the pool and the adjacent forest from the balcony was truly superb. Breakfast was also absolutely flawless; it offered everything one could wish for. The selection at dinner was a bit unusual, but not bad.

Since Lindberg is quite centrally located, you can take some very nice day trips. Whether it's the Grosser Arber, Arbersee, the treetop path, or the forest canopy walk. I had a generous breakfast at the hotel, and dinner was usually eaten on the way back. Next time, I would book directly with the landlord, as they then provide a voucher for free bus and train use.

The surroundings are great. The mountains, the forest. The hotel staff, although they have nothing to do with the private room offered, were very friendly and lent us a quilt and a pillow that we needed. The restaurant staff were also very kind to us.
