Landhotel Bohrerhof is absolutely amazing. Very nice, modern minimalistic design, meticulously clean, beautiful spacious rooms, most comfortable beds, great breakfast, maxibar with free coffee and tea in the lobby. I have to say the facilities look more like those in a five star hotel, you don’t usually expect something like that in a landhotel.

I had a very late evening check-in and last minute booking due to train delays and Hotel was very accommodating with providing access. Lovely location and room was very welcoming. Wished I could have stayed longer.

The hotel has its own parking, belonging to the hotel. We arrived just before the kitchen closed (9.30 p.m) but could still get a very nice schnitzel dinner. Food and drinks were very good. Our family room was comfortable, clean and beds and pillows were great, we had a very good nights sleep. But the very best was the breakfast!!! It had everything we needed, tasty fresh bread, juices, hot drinks, cheese, ham, youghurt, müsli, fruit and vegetables. And all served very nicely in the cozy restaurant.

A great place to stay if you're traveling to Freiburg and...

A great place to stay if you're traveling to Freiburg and want to save money or relax in a peaceful neighborhood. I didn’t see any restaurants nearby, but there are buses to Freiburg, and the schedule works well. It’s safe for solo travelers, and about 45 minutes from Freiburg’s center by bus.

Merdingen is a small village about 15 minutes far from Friburg, therefore it's very quiet so you can sleep very well. There's a nice balcony as well. I could pay cash, just living the money on the table in the room (I just loved the trust placed on the guests by the owners). The owner was very kind. They give some small presents which I really appreciated.
