Room was very nice and everything was clean. Breakfast was excellent and had a lot of options. Staff were very friendly. The hotel has a gym with a weight rack, Smith machine, and treadmill, which provides good options of exercises if you want to keep active during your stay. Despite its location, there's a bus stop (with regular service even in late hours) right in front of the hotel that will take you to the city centre in under 20mn.

Well, we expected this hotel to be good ! It wasn't good... it was really really great. From the moment we arrived, we felt I to was going to be special and we were right. Our host, Christina, brought us to our room (a Deluxe Queen Suite) and we loved it straight away. It had everything and more than we expected. It overlooked the Haidplaz so we had a prime view on all the activity going on below... but the windows were so good, we could shut out the noise if and when we wanted. The large bed was superbly comfortable. The room was also large so we had lots of space. The bathroom was a perfect size and everything was spotlessly clean. The cooking area was well equipped and very functional. Breakfast was wonderful... A great choice of food, in lovely surroundings... a super way to start the day. Christina was so welcoming & lovely and she gave us great background to the hotel's history, the oldest part of which dates back to 1230, and its links to famous people through the ages. The other staff that we met were very pleasant & smiley and so helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect and all the sights are within easy walking distance... as is the train station. There is also two free bus routes (A & B) that pass by the hotel to take you around the city, if you want them. The tourist office has a free app that gives you a marvelous walking tour of the city. Regensburg is a special gem - very beautiful - not too big and not too small. Our top picks are the Bavarian Historical Museum, closely followed by the Thurn und Taxis Palace.. both are simply brilliant but in very different ways. There are tons of bars and restaurants within easy reach of the hotel. We would highly recommend a stay in Hotel Goldnes Kreus.

The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was one of the best I have seen in any of the accommodations we stayed in during our journey from England to Hungary and back. The village was pretty and quiet. I had a relaxing walk around the village with my dog. There is a lake just 15 minutes away from the guesthouse and you can also walk along the Danube. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast.

We had a stopover at Walhallahotel going from Luxembourg to Budapest with my wife. We choose the hotel because of the promising reviews and the convenient location. The experience was above our expectations: the communication was smooth, upon our arrival the staff was professional and super helpful, and the room and the hotel were designed with good taste and with high-quality materials. The bed was comfortable and the room`s cleanliness was impeccable. The breakfast had a wide variety of delicious and fresh options with great presentation and with very good food quality. Despite being a heavy light sleeper, I had a peaceful and quality sleep, so we decided to stay here again on our trip back home, to Luxembourg. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Will definitely be returning on our next visit, to discover more the Regensburg area!

Fantastic location near historic City Center. Directly across the street from a parking garage (hotel offers a slight discount on parking). Room was extremely comfortable with king size bed, thick mattress, excellent shower. Friendly host with flexible check-in, even upgraded our room. Lots of bakeries nearby. Would definitely stay here again!!
