In contrast to many other hospitality options in the Harz, this little gem of a hotel was absolutely lovely. The owners were very friendly and open. The homemade cakes they offered were marvellous and had the most pleasent presentation. The breakfast was not overwhelmingly lavish but offered many homemade jams and a nice variety of bread, coffee, drinks, and muesli.

We stayed here for one night when travelling through; for that purpose this hotel is nice with comfortable beds and very good bathroom facilities. There is a restaurant in the hotel as well, although we decided to visit Blankenburg which has countless taverns. Breakfast buffet is elaborate.
