We had a truly wonderful stay. The hotel is beautifully nestled in nature, just a short walk along the river to Saarburg. The peaceful surroundings made for an incredibly relaxing experience, and the drive to Trier was quick and convenient. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. We also dined at the hotel restaurant one evening and were very pleased with our meal. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Klostermühle – it’s a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind in a serene and welcoming environment.

We had a magical stay with the most amazing New Year Dinner. The restaurant food is very very good. The breakfast buffet was a wonderful sight, delicious with everything you could possibly want! A very beautiful little town! It offers many destinations for hikers; a highlight is the waterfall in the town center; a boat trip is also very interesting and entertaining; a cable car takes you to a viewpoint overlooking the castle and river; there's even a summer toboggan run at the top.

Saarburg is a charming town and a great base for both history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Trier and Luxembourg are easily accessible by train. We visited a few places, but if we had had the time, we would have explored many more.

Saarburg is a small but very nice town.

Saarburg is a small but very nice town. If you're there on the weekend and enjoy dancing, I can recommend the Saarburger Tenne. It's a wonderful over-30s disco with a diverse program.

Take your time for a hike up to Saarburg Castle, enjoy the fantastic view from the castle tower, and stroll leisurely through the beautiful old town. Take your time to sample the many Moselle wines; finding your favorite isn't easy :-) . From Saarburg, we made day trips to Luxembourg and Trier.

The hotel was in a very good location and offered convienient parking very close by. Our room was a good size out the back of the hotel and included a fan which was most useful as it was a hot day. We also had a kettle with a small selection of fruit teas. The breakfast buffet had a good selection including some hot items.
