Sauerlach is a small town near Munich. We found it nice and clean. It has lovely restaurants with something for everyone. The fish shop next to the Sauerlach Hotel is fantastic! 👍 There are many starting points from there (by car/train/bus).

Stay was okay, 8/10. However, the receptionist should have told us to make a reservation for dinner in the restaurant; that would have saved us a two-hour wait. She did tell us the breakfast and dinner times. The restaurant itself was 8/10.

Sauerlach lies between Munich (approx. 20 km) and Lake Tegernsee (approx. 50 km). The Isar River and the Alps are also within easy reach. This small village offers restaurants, bakeries, an ice cream parlor, a local history museum, and much more.

Excellent hotel with late check-in available.

Excellent hotel with late check-in available. Not very close to the city center, but easily accessible by train, just 300 meters from the hotel. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The only downside was the church next door, which made the bells ring loud, even at night.

Great hotel just south of Munich. You can easily get into the city from here. We used the hotel as a stopover for our onward travels. Clean, up-to-date, friendly, and with a lovely terrace (beer garden).

A very beautiful, well-maintained little town. Sauerlach is a great base for traveling in all directions. The hotel restaurant is fantastic... incredibly cozy, friendly staff, and delicious food!

We actually got moved to sister hotel Demas Garni in Unterlaching due to flooding in Hotel Sauerlacher. Hotel was very clean , breakfast was excellent and staff friendly. Rooms where large and modern and comfortable. Very good connection to Munich , good local amenities , restaurants and shops.

Location close to highway and south of Munchen (good from the point that we have travelled to the south) was very good for transition overnigth stay. The room was clean and having enough space. Nice surprise with small haribo sweets on the beds, when we came.

Excellent hotel for a stop over going south. The room was spatious and clean. We could enjoy drink and some food in the beer garten. You can also walk your dog in the field nearby. I would stay here again. The breakfast was also good.
