The apartment was extremely clean and was very practical for what we needed. The host and her family are very hospitable, accommodating and friendly. They are very respectful of your privacy and space yet always available for any question or need you may have. There are friendly dogs and cats and cows surrounding the property (worry not! Theres a fence keeping them outside the property garden). The surroundings are breathtaking and the infinity pool to die for. Very quiet location yet easy to drive to nearby destinations.

The hotel has only 11 rooms in a large historic house. It is more like what I would call an Inn because it is unique with a lot of charm. It has a wonderful original wood paneled library for guest use as well as the original living room with hand painted wall paper and coved ceiling, also for guest use. Breakfast was served on a lovely outside terrasse as well as in a breakfast room. Various coffees and a large selection of teas were available as well as juices. Lots of sliced and whole fresh fruit. Hard boiled eggs as well as cold potato omelet and bacon, and cold cuts. There was a nice variety of breads, croissants, buns, and cake and several cereals and milk. The hotels location at the end of the picturesque historic bridge which crossed over the river into the medieval town could not have been better. Our room was large, but I may have rented a larger than standard room. The bathroom was very nice. We had a small balcony with two small chairs that I enjoyed sitting on. The staff at the front desk as well as the breakfast room staff and cleaners were all very helpful and friendly. As we are seniors they helped us with our bags and went out of their way to drive us to the bus stop. The hotel also had a spa service if you wanted to indulge.

A very 'ethnic' experience in the heart of the town's narrow and car-free streets (but easy walking with luggage from nearby parking; actually driving to the hotel through the surrounding lanes is an interesting challenge!). Comfortable and clean room, and then a truly amazing breakfast with a huge variety of food. Definitely an experience to recommend!

Where to start. Everything was wonderful! The location is at a lovely, beautiful Spanish village, where you can come home to relax after sightseeing the village itself or many other lovely places in the area/nearby (close by other lovely towns as Banyoles, Figueres (Dalí or other museums), Girona, Besalu, Olot and so on + no longer than an hour drive to Port Lligat, Cadaqués (Dalí and beautiful village anyhow), Vic and more). It’s perfectly situated and a perfect place to drive around to see Catalunya and come back to this great home base! The place is big enough and you have all the privacy. Also, there is enough parking space. The house is beautiful from the outside and inside and has so much character: typical Spanish and decorated with beautiful paintings, also of the famous owner Olga! The owners Olga & Llorrens are the most welcoming, kind, friendly and heartwarming persons. They live the Spanish saying: mi casa e su casa. A beautiful couple who made us feel very welcome from the beginning; they brighten up your day! They were also super helpful and gave several advice on where to go, to eat or what to see in the area. The breakfast was made with love everyday. The space was clean and our beds were great; we slept very well. I’ve been in southern Spain with friends and to work, then in Barcelona for work, and then I ended up here to spend some holidays and it was the best ending of my Spanish journey I could wish for. Thank you so much for the great stay! Highly recommended.

The stay was spectacular!

The stay was spectacular! The location alone is perfect for disconnecting. We enjoyed it immensely; the children could play outside without worrying about vehicles. The house is well-located, spacious, and very quiet. The owner was ideal, incredibly attentive to our well-being. We will definitely return.

It is a very beautiful and well-preserved old house.

It is a very beautiful and well-preserved old house. It has everything you could need, it is warm and is in a beautiful setting. Montserrat, the teacher, is very friendly and welcoming. A wonderful stay that we will repeat.

We climbed to the Sanctuary of Mare de Déu del Mont and it...

We climbed to the Sanctuary of Mare de Déu del Mont and it was magical. The views from the top of the mountain are unparalleled. Beuda i Palera have spectacular architectural heritage. Just a few kilometers away, we found the charm of Besalú. Can Mahola and her dog Nit are a great find.
