Very good food, good selection on menu despite being Oct & fewer tourists . Staff / owners / hosts extremely nice, kind, helpful, offered a different bedroom on other side of the hotel because the cattle had been moved to a field beside the hotel just before we arrived as they were concerned that the bells on the cattle would disturb our sleep - the cattle did not disturb us at all (even the light sleeper who wakes at almost everything). We were made to feel very welcome. Owners even lent us walking poles & refused our attempts to pay for the pole we damaged. Simply couldn’t have been better hosts. Stunning views of Picos de Europa. Peaceful, beautiful location. Would definitely stay here again & stay for longer. Exceeded expectations.

We had a wonderful two days here. The road from Salamanca through the almost untouched forest fascinated us. I was a little worried about the hotel, how well equipped it would be, as it is an old building, an outside location, but we had a sumptuous breakfast and a generous dinner, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the laundry service was a big help for me in the middle of a European tour.

Exceptional little hotel in la Liébana region of Cantabria. The passionate staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Homemade food and hearty breakfasts will set you ready to explore the historical towns and beautiful mountains, home to bears, wolves and perhaps the last capercaillies left in Iberian lands. A special mention to Mari Cruz and the rest of the team (this may sound like one of those IA generated fake reviews, but believe me, it is not): they are the kind of staff that truly puts all their heart in what they do. They will try remembering guests names and what they had for breakfast the day before. Always keen to help you enjoy your stay and make the most of it.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the property. It was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and within easy walking distance to everything in Potes. The view from the lounge was beautiful and it was lovely being able to sit & watch the changing light on the mountains.

Absolutely beautiful property, a lot of care has gone into the refurbishment with beautiful details and furnishings. Well equipped. Amazing location in the old town, quiet but very close to all amenities and bars and restaurants. A wonderful host with great communication who was so helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this beautiful property.

Our hostess was such a kind woman! Appartement was so neat and clean, it really felt like a home. Cosgaya is a very small village, but shops and facilities are close in nearby village of Potes. So ideal for one who wants to stay at a quiet and peacefull place.

We spent some amazing days in Cosgaya. The El Haya is very clean and cozy. Miguel is the best host and is always available for any help with the apartment or advice on activities/sights in the area. We had amazing views from the 1st floor apartment.
