The view from the rooftop terrace is just extraordinary! Everything you need in a vacation house as a couple, is present. Jorge is a very friendly and competent host. It’s a beautiful village nestled in the mountains. It’s close to the national park and if you like hiking then it’s ideal but I’d suggest having a car as the local bus timetable is very confusing and not very frequent.

Everywhere was shut we arrived on 28 June but apparently all the local restaurants close during June for their annual vacation we should have been told this there was absolutely nowhere to eat our apartment was not accessible as my husband has mobility problems he is 77 years old we were expecting to use the Infinity pool which was a plunge pool with approx 6 inches of filthy gree water photo included

If you like tranquility, walks and hikes, time away from any tourism It has a well stocked local shop and a health food shop with German bread Parking is a challenge in the village and having had parking with accommodation was a relief. Restaurant Faro is incredible- need to book though, very popular Not a beach vacation but wonderful hikes all around

It could be the best hiking place on La Gomera.

It could be the best hiking place on La Gomera. The village is surrounded by mountains of about 800-1000 meters, making it very picturesque place. As for hiking there are a few hiking paths going through the village, I made three nearly circular paths for 30-20-30 km, so there are variants.

Beautiful picturesque place , places to see & things to do, nice food, nice people, la Caleta beach is not for the faint of heart, up a risky mountain , we turned around half way , as still had an up hill climb and the a decent to the beach , I found it a bit scary. Lol

Hermigua is a great base to visit other towns and villages...

Hermigua is a great base to visit other towns and villages in the north of La Gomera and also Garajonay National Park. There is a good selection of local bars/cafes and a handful of restaurants too. I particularly enjoyed the food in Bar Mariela and Cafe Gara, and also enjoyed the more local bar feel and watching sport in Cafe Don Juan.

Absolutely stunning. Its set a bit more out of the way that other properties in Hermigua and feels like you're staying in the middle of a jungle. Still very quick and easy walking distance to bars, restaurant and a shop. The bedrooms are good sizes and the kitchen is very well stocked. We never met the host in person, but that was fine, we spoke over the phone for key codes etc, and checking in and out was very easy. Lovely place for a base for exploring La Gomera.

Our room at the front of the building is fabulous, with a wonderful view across Hermigua’s valley. It has the two wooden seats either side of the window and a wooden ceiling which are typical of C18 houses in the Canaries. The bed and bedspread are lovely and the pillows are some of the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. The bathroom [and probably all the rooms] have been refurbished, the door slides into the wall cavity.

The house was very nicely located with off street parking. It was creatively laid out with a central covered area. All of the facilities that we needed were in place. Michelle gave us any information we needed. Private and quiet. Beautiful view of Hermigua valley. The house was warm in the evening which is not always the case in the Canary Islands. Ideal location for hiking. Plan to return next year.

Great location with fantastic views of the valley. About 25 minutes to Garajonay NP and 10 mins to the Natural swimming pool next to Hermigua beach. Nice little outdoor space with sunbeds. Also, off street parking was a bonus.
