If you want to see the Las Médulas World Heritage site, the Mirador of Orellán is the best place to start your visit, because from there you get a great view of the whole area, and it's a good starting point for hiking. The best food in Orellán is at the O Palleiro Do Pe do Forno rural hotel, make sure you reserve a table for dinner.

What a nice place to be! A small but well decorated and clean room close to Las Medulas. Very super extraordinary!!! nice owners who cooked a very good and authenthic meal for me for dinner and also served a typical spanish breakfast for me (allone). Definitely a place to stay when exploring the wonderfull region of Las Medulas and El Bierzo. The Orellan view point is only 5 minutes by car and gives best views on Las Medulas UNESCO World Heritage site.
