The location couldn't have been better. Playa Honda it’s a great starting point for people who want to explore the Lanzarote island and love art. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, and the beach literally a 1 minute walk away if even! It was lovely magnificent and quiet. The deluxe maisonette itself was spotless and really cute nautical décor. Excellent value for money and super for a solo traveller looking to spend just a few days before moving on. The shared bathroom was spotless, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness. I had a great night's sleep thanks to the quiet location and considerate fellow guests. The owners are very friendly and decent. They took care of everything. The garden area and terrace are calm and comfortable with amazing cactus everywhere! The owners always come to meet you! Super friendly environment! I recommend unreservedly Papa Tote Deluxe, makes you feel at home and very welcome; a fabulous hospitality!

Perfect location. Just a short walk to gorgeous beaches, wonderful restaurants and a long boardwalk that hugs the coastline. The area is calm, away from the crowds that you normally find in the ‘resort’ areas of Lanzarote. So happy we stayed in Playa Honda. As for the accommodations, we absolutely loved casa Orillia! Very clean, well equipped, comfortable, great shower…it had everything we needed. Spent lots of time on the beautiful veranda. Some airplane traffic but it was no bother at all. Didn’t hear a thing once inside the apartment. Our host was the best!

The apartment was very clean and we had brilliant experience i was worried about security for my autistic child but was able to secure the terrace with a locked gate and that was an added bonus we rented a car and location was pretty central to everything and the host was lovely thank you for a brilliant stay

Absolutely super apartment. Clean, spacious and well equipped. Playa Honda is a lovely area, residential rather than tourist, so far less shops and restaurants than neighbouring resorts with a lovely beach. Easy bus transfer from airport (€1.40) with a 10 minute €10 taxi ride back. We were cycling, Playa Honda has a great (uphill) access up to the interior of the island.

Flat walking wherever you go, in either direction along the endless seafront paved pathways. Town has lots of facilities and extends to small commercial estate through an underpass to larger shopping facilities as well. Lots of catered establishments for a variety of dining and drinking experiences as well as basic health and welfare for everyone. Beaches are wonderful sand and blue sea at all times. Buses are frequent and offer both directions to/from airport as well as capital or south on island. Plenty of on-street parking that is completely free at all times to park a hire car safely. Feels safe for single female to walk alone even at night.

Playa Honda is quiet, and more residential, full of lovely locals.... beautiful walks along the beach front, easy access to shops, buses, restaurants etc... not a lot of tourists, so you can appreciate the culture more. Just love it. We enjoy walking, so a nice 40 minute walk takes you into Arrecife, or you can get a bus into Costa Teguise or Matagorda, hire a bike and cycle along the path both ways.... La Opera, Goliath's, Bechamell restaurants are lovely, good prices and lots of choice. It really is a piece of heaven on earth in Playa Honda.

I like the locals, very friendly and helpful, it's a lovely, quiet area, lots of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops, close to beaches and airport, not touristy, lots of public buses and taxis to easily take trips to other areas of the island.

In my opinion this is one of the best locations on the...

In my opinion this is one of the best locations on the island. It's very easy to get to and from the airport and even if you don't hire a car there are lots of bus routes into other cities and villages, such as Arrecife, Tias, Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Also plenty of taxi ranks. It's a quick walk to the beach and lots of beaches to choose from, including dog-free ones. Lovely promenade along the front that is well paved and lit, you can walk along the coast for miles in either direction. There is enough going on in the evenings for me personally but the bars and restaurants are all quite low key. Most restaurants were traditional Spanish - tapas and seafood but there are also lots of Italian restaurants/pizzerias. It's the best of both worlds as if you want more lively/ entertainment/ dancing or to have a later night you can go to nearby Puerto del Carmen.

A lovely everyday-spanish 'vibe' !

A lovely everyday-spanish 'vibe' ! A quiet residential town on the coast with very easy access to Lanzarote airport as well as the rest of the island by bus / hire-car/ taxi. It's just 2 - 3 km away from airport ! Working spanish people / families live here .... so it is well-served by important services e.g. supermarkets, barber shops, bike hire, mobile phone / laptop repair etc. Small shopping mall ( Deiland Shopping Centre ) at one end of town. Not too many visitors from UK or the rest of Europe ..... but enough to meet and chat over an informal drink / meal etc ! Not too touristy ! Low rise white buildings. Easy access to well maintained promenade walk / cycle path with associated shops and cafes ..... which is relatively flat and runs from Costa Teguise through Arrecife and Playa Honda to Puerto Del Carmen ( about 25 km). Perfect for longer stays e.g. extended winter periods in apartments and houses away from hotels and mass tourism ..... but easy access to entire island for exploratory day trips.

Playa Honda was just right for our family, not full of...

Playa Honda was just right for our family, not full of tourists. Easy access to supermarkets peaceful ( very close to airport but noise wasn’t a problem) We hired a car and was able to visit other resorts easily but come back to some peace and quiet, fantastic views from the property although we lost the sun by mid afternoon over most of the outside area. Kitchen had excellent induction hob oven and microwave and a newish dishwasher but the cupboards and drawers were in a poor state. There was only AC in main bedroom other 3 bedrooms had fans but 2 of the bedrooms had NO external windows so I would imagine would be uncomfortable in summer. Beds not comfortable and covered in plastic, no mirror in our bedroom but we did have a window. The light switches were really confusing downstairs, and there were bare wires on the light in the outside dining area which was waist high so care is needed with children
