What a wonderful place! We were really pleased to have discovered this hidden gem in the Spanish countryside; we were looking for one-night stay on our way back home, and we discovered a whole lot more. The Quinta is named after a convent that was there long ago - remnants of the old walls and façade have been preserved and are impressive to see. The Quinta is discreetly located in a very quiet place outside Castrojériz. We did not hear a thing and spent a very restful night there. Very comfortable beds ! The welcome is personal, and very warm. Parking is inside the walls and therefore secure. The Quinta is surrounded by a very nicely designed garden and fruit orchard, with views of the surrounding fields. We were there in winter, so we did not enjoy the gorgeous outside garden and lounge areas - must be fantastic in the warmer months. There is also a very nice spa, we saw it, but did not use it. Everything looks brand new, perfectly maintained, spotless clean, really impressive. There was a nice fireplace in the central unit (where the reception is), beautifully and warmly decorated. It's more like stepping into someone's livingroom. There is no 'bar' as such, but there is a very well stocked do-it-yourself 'shop' with all sorts of drinks (soft, but also great wines, beer, etc). Just write down what you take, ad enjoy it anywhere in the Quinta. There is a separate restaurant, next to the wellness area, where a local chef cooked us up great dinner, as well as breakfast. This Quinta exceeded our expectations in a every way. The staff is incredible.

The albergue was very clean and well designed. Individual bunks were spacious with privacy curtains, and equipped with a light and electric plug to charge phones. Sheets, pillow cases, and blankets were provided. The pilgrim menu was well worth the price. It was definitely one of the nicer albergues I’ve stayed in on the Camino.

the SPA (which is next-door and costs 20€) is excellent and completely surprising in a small village . The hotel is new, clean and pleasant. the staff is super nice

Lovely room with shared lounge. Washing facilities and clothes horse to dry clothes. Nice courtyard to sit outside. Perfect location.
