Located right opposite a supermarket and restaurant which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was super, plenty of choice on the table plus locally sourced produce. Nuriah was extremely helpful throughout and assisted with some much needed laundry (because we were cycling) and also locked away our bikes in a store overnight, so we had no concerns and had a peaceful night’s sleep. Plenty of room in the bedroom - everything clean and tidy.

The owners were incredibly nice and we were treated like locals at the bar at night. I highly recommend you get the Costillas (pork ribs) as your segundo, they were part of the menu of the day and the best thing we’d had along the Camino.

A wonderful place to visit and digression from the...

A wonderful place to visit and digression from the traditional Camino Frances - well worth the effort and a delightful walk from Tricastel and from Samos to Sarria. Our accommodation near the monastery was perfectly placed and close to local restaurants. Its also well worth a vist around the monastery - though the musky smell (damp?) in the chapel was surprising and could easily be removed if they occasionally opened the West doors to improve air flows - I guess there aren't enough monks left there to undertake these tasks? - only 7 at present apparently, but they'd welcome new novices to bolster their number! ... Curious modern art in the cloister corridors that you'll encounter on your visit - helps if you can speak Spanish to understand the monk taking you around!

Excellent hotel located at the end of the village. Warm reception. My room was spotless with twin beds. No tv. Bathroom was shared but spotless also, towels provided. Shower was excellent after long tough walk. There was tea or coffee making freely available in a common room across from mine. There was a vending machine on my floor for snacks and reasonably priced. Laundry facilities were available at upper floor but you needed 4 x1 euro coins and I had none. Outside, there were cafes, restaurants, bars nearby for food.

The Best Place to Stay on the Camino. Make sure you don’t miss a night here. You won’t regret it. Best night’s sleep. The rooms are so comfortable and everything is spotless. The breakfast is us a feast and presented so lovely. The host is so welcoming and as someone who has walked the camino she makes sure you have everything you could possible need. Such a lovely person. She has great recommendations for the best places to eat. Samos is a very chilled village.

The hotel is not new, but maintained beautyfully. I returned a second time in two weeks, with my husband, after first staying with my friend doing the Camino. A very beautiful hotel with an overwhelming garden, right off the Camino and straight on the river's waterfall.
