Great place for traveling around the no North of the island. Value for money is excellent as the host has thought about every little detail in the apartment- it was clean, it was prepared for us 4, kitchen very well equipped with new pans, dishes, cups etc. There was coffee, some food in the fridge and fruits for our first day/night. Washing machine with capsules, ironing board and iron. Greatly equipped bathroom with amenities even serviettes for demaquiage were left :). We also enjoyed the table games and big size puzzle in the evening. And the location is just perfect- beautiful sunsets and walking pass!

Exclusive, luxurious, modern hotel. A real retreat and a real treat. At first glance looks like a typical pack em in Spanish hotel but it’s not. It’s exclusive because there are no kids allowed, it’s a bit expensive (but worth it), it is in fact a great piece of stylish modern architecture, with lovely ample rooms and effective air con, great helpful friendly staff with high standards throughout, superb breakfasts, great swimming pool and loved the spa (worth every penny @€20 a go), spectacular rooftop bar and exclusive also because Puerto de Nieves is far from the madding crowds. So away from it all and yet a short walk from the hotel to the charcos (natural sea swimming pools) and harbour (to harbour 15 or so mins on foot and a bit a of a steep path but very do-able and easy under foot). Can’t comment on full board, we ate out at night at the harbour restaurants which were great, plenty of the very best of fresh fish there. I’d recommend a room which is both sea view and pool view above ground floor. Ground floor / poolside (for me) lacks privacy.

Sardina is a small fishing port in the north of the island, with a nice bay, good canary style restaurants. Not spectacular but nice. Sardina is part of the larger Gáldat town with a historical city center. We used our week to exlore the whole island. We know Tenerife from several trips, but changed our opinion about GC, it is better.

This is a great location if you want a peaceful holiday with...

This is a great location if you want a peaceful holiday with many swimming options in beaches and natural piscinas. There are also great hikes in the Agaete valley, and there many good restaurants in the area with ocean-view dining, such as La Pizarra in Playa Sardina, and Ragu in Puerto de las Nieves. If you want more excitement, Las Palmas is an easy 25 minute drive.
