We were out of season with a few guests at the property, yet the check-in, room, and breakfast were handled well. The property itself is good if you arrive by car, walking from the city is a bit of a chore and requires you taking a car road. The apartments are cozy with good heating, water pressure, and internet connection, they are a bit dated, but everything was clean and kept in good condition. Nice views on the sunrise from apartment windows as well. Breakfast was plentiful.

If you like places with real character, history, and beauty, this one’s a must. Casa de Doña Concha isn’t just somewhere to sleep, it’s a true experience in the heart of the Alpujarra. The house is absolutely gorgeous, full of charm, and keeps the soul of a classic Ugíjar casa señorial. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, super comfy beds, and a kitchen with everything you could need. The pool was perfect for cooling off and watching the sunset, and the patio terrace made the best spot for dinner and a couple of glasses of wine. Simply idyllic!

Super clean and comfortable room – amazing value for money. We really enjoyed our stay even though it was only for one night. We did some hiking in the area and the location of the hotel was great as a base. Cadiar is also not touristy at all, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast with the locals in the nearby café was definitely one of our highlights.

Las Chimeneas is a completely unique hotel. Simple and delicious rooms, breathtaking views – and a lovely little commun terrace with pool and pomegranate and lemon trees. We were invited to join a paella course and had a wonderful evening in good company with the place's other guests. The owner Emma offered a walking tour of the area, it was a great experience which highlighted the great location of the place. Thank you, Emma, for a wonderful stay. Las Chimenas is a hidden gem – please let it stay that way.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Very safe for our 2 bicycles. Clean, Comfortable and everything we needed to prepare our own food. Beautiful location, 15 minute walk to the stunning Old Town and lots of local walks along the river side. We really enjoyed our very peaceful, restful stay here. Oh and clear starlit sky too! We were out of season with a few guests at the property, yet the check-in, room, and breakfast were handled well. The property itself is good if you arrive by car, walking from the city is a bit of a chore and requires you taking a car road. Super clean and comfortable room – amazing value for money. We really enjoyed our stay even though it was only for one night. We did some hiking in the area and the location of the hotel was great as a base. Cadiar is also not touristy at all, which we really enjoyed. Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of...

Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of a large mountain. It has far reaching views and you can even see the sea on a clear day. There are almond farms all around and the blossom was beautiful in January. It feels rather like stepping back in time and is well worth a visit. Most places were shut while we were there as we arrived late on Sunday afternoon and left on Tuesday morning but I'm sure there are nice places to eat and drink at busier times. There are many footpaths in the area and it would be a great place to use as a base for hiking.
