The location is superb! The place itself if very cozy and comfortable, the staff was nice and helpful, and the winter activities were amazing, the dog sledding in particular was a remarkable experience!

First of all, the location of the property is incredibly beautiful. Located in the middle of nature directly on a lake. The perfect place to recharge your batteries. The house is small and super cozy. It is equipped with everything you need and nothing is left to be desired. The sauna is also a big plus. We used them every day. There are sledges at the house with which you can toboggan right down the entrance to the house to the lake. The house is very clean and it also has a wood stove that you can use. It's incredibly cozy and we loved our days there. Katja's reindeer farm is 2 km from the house. Also worth a visit! We landed in Rovaniemi and had a rental car from there. The accommodation cannot be reached without a car.

Kotatuli is really a little piece of heaven in the midst of Lapland. Beautiful cottage by the lake with a comfortable warm interior, 3 friendly dogs, horses and a very welcoming family. It felt like home away from home and was a perfect place to experience the real Lapland away from cities and more touristic stops. Will definitely come back!

Myself, wife and 8 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights and our stay was absolutely perfect. This Finnish cottage is more than just a stay—it’s an unforgettable experience :-) Set against the backdrop of a frozen lake and surrounded by snow-blanketed forests, our stay truly felt like a Christmas movie. We loved the Sauna experiences, and having access to the lake if we dared to dip ! Making the log fire was my privilege that provided a comforting glow and plenty of warmth, day and night. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed and more ! Credit to Carolina and Jonas who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was simply outstanding. They are the best Hosts EVER !!!!!!!

The Log House is beautiful and as advertised. The host welcomed and showed us around the property. He was very responsive before and throughout our stay. I requested the sauna to be ready for our arrival and it was. The apartment was stocked with some beverages and instant meals, which we were very grateful for. It seemed to be the perfect spot to see the northern lights— either from the jacuzzi on the deck or anywhere within the property. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were not in our favor that night. Overall, I think this is a wondeful getaway location not too far from the bustling city. Just note that the host lives in the house next door… yet, it’s all in a secluded area and very quiet. Know that this apartment is around 26 km from the city center and there are no amenities nearby. You can purchase some instant meals and other food items from the supermarket as there’s an electric kettle and fridge in the room. Since we didn’t have a vehicle, we relied on a taxi. The rides are not cheap in December, but I knew what to expect and don’t regret spending what I did. Honestly, two nights would have been ideal! If you have a vehicle, then it would be easier to move around. Thank you for hosting us and the gift —nailed it with my favorite chocolates. Cheers!

We loved everything about this place, it’s beautiful, functional, with great facilities, sauna and cold bath with a stunning view. Highly recommended for families!
