- magical cottage for 6 people in a beautiful forest near river - sauna - many hiking trails nearby (within 1 hour by car) - rivers good for fishing - all essentials in good quality: comfortable beds, hot water, heating/air conditioning, good stove, dishes and utensils, fridge, microwave, fireplace and lots of wood included in the price, window shades - bed linen and towels must be ordered and paid for in advance - I will list the details that could be improved in the other section but despite the few negatives we had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book the cottage again

Beautiful place, nice house. A handrail on the steps would help when icy.

Yes it’s in the middle of nowhere, but we knew that when we booked (you can see location on the map) and it was exactly what we wanted. Room was comfortable and warm, shower/sauna/toilets were all good, staff were great. breakfast was a good sized portion and tasted good. You have to get the bus/drive a while if you want to be in city or do tours etc. but there is Forrest right outside and a lake within 1km of the property and we spent our time exploring without another person in sight. We went out at night and saw the northern lights 2 out of 2 nights we were there, it’s very easy to find great spots without other people or light pollution in just a couple of minutes walk. Mini fridge and microwave available to use as well. overall great place to stay.
