Privacy, big rooms, cosy decorations. looking like a villa and not a hotel. Smell in the rooms. Swimming pool , bar , exclusive food made from Ingredients of the garden. Close to all ( airport, city, golf, country slide, château for wine tasting) Amazing, friendly, open and kind owner including all staff! feel at home, feel personal and from the heart! Very relaxing atmosphere and exclusive but with no attitude.

We stayed at this beautiful guesthouse for three days while attending a friend’s wedding nearby - and honestly, we didn’t expect to discover such a warm, stylish, and soulful place here in France. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful and aesthetic charm of the property. It has a unique, almost Balinese touch - with lots of natural textures, wood, stone, light fabrics, and soft tones - that make the space feel effortlessly elegant yet cozy and grounded. It truly felt like a serene country house rather than a typical hotel - calm, spacious, and full of thoughtful details that show how much care went into every corner. But the real highlight, the “cherry on top,” were the hosts - Pierre and Caroline. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home. They greeted us each day with smiles, prepared delicious breakfasts with love, helped us with anything we needed, and did it all with such grace and heart. Their presence turned an already lovely stay into something truly memorable. I tend to be quite picky about places I stay - I usually find something to criticize - but here, I simply couldn’t. Everything was spotless, thoughtful, and designed not just with taste, but with soul. We’re incredibly grateful for the experience and for the kindness of our hosts. We wish them nothing but joy, continued success, and many wonderful guests in the future. May their hotel continue to be a place where people arrive as visitors, and leave feeling like family.

The rooms are spacious and the interior is very well selected. Everything is clean, high quality and sustainable care products. The owners are exceptionally friendly and passionate hoteliers, generating a feel-good atmosphere. It is one of the rare moments where you find a home like place while travelling for work. Very attentive staff. The breakfast is outstanding and worth the money, with a good variety.

We booked this hotel after arriving at another - our initial preferred option - and finding it was fully booked. I'd seen Hotel d'Angleterre online and it looked a bit unusual so we booked a room, which turned out to be an excellent decision. The hotel is being renovated by new owners and it would seem that the reception and dining/bar area have been finished as they are really interesting, and well designed/furnished, with lots of quirky British touches, combined with very stylish French design. The stairs and corridors, we have to be honest, leave a LOT to be desired as they are very tired, and in some places, downright scruffy. Don't let this put you off, as it becomes apparent that the rooms are the priority for the refurbishment - ours was really, really lovely with an AMAZING bathroom, with a big bath and a huge walk in shower. Metro tiles and very pretty floor tiles and black taps/shower head etc, added to the feeling of real luxe. The bedroom was huge, with two double shuttered windows overlooking a very pretty street. Furnishings were quite Scandi and minimal which we love, as we don't like fuss in a hotel room. And the bed - well, wow. Incredibly comfy, large and with the most wonderful bedding. Breakfast was great - typically French, with lots of cheeses, bread, croissants, pastries, good coffee, juices and yoghurts. An excellent choice, in a fabulous location - with on street parking, if you are lucky enough to find a space, which we did and which is free from 7pm until 9pm the following morning.

Nice hotel in a nice city! Sparkling clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast. Own closed parking in the yard for 10 Eur is a big plus for autotravelers. We stayed here several times already and will definitely stay again in the future.
