We hadn't planned to stay here but our misfortune turned out to be a blessing! Carol and Loic were absolutely amazing hosts! They went above and beyond to help us when our car broke down and made our stay so welcoming it was like staying with good friends! Would definitely recommend a visit here. Lovely comfortable bed and the room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. Home from home and a warm welcome ☺️

Bernay is a lovely medieval town to visit. Helene is a great host, very friendly and she altered our sleeping arrangements at short notice which was very welcome. The accommodation is great and the secure car parking was really appreciated, A large supermarket close by is very handy. We were in Bernay for one night on a Monday, so the town was very quiet with not many options for food and drink, but on other days I'm sure it has lots of bars and restaurants open. We had a nice meal in Carpe Diem. We will visit again to break up the journey when travelling to our friends in Palluau-sur-Indre. Many thanks Helene!

Bernay is actually 'open' early evening and quite a buzz it has a good range of shops to walk around in the evening, lovely medieval buildings and quite a few restaurants and bars- still no Vegan / vegetarian options though which is a shame. Great chocolate shop Leonidas very friendly salesman even had some free chocolates first time we visited so this time we made a detour just to buy 4 boxes of chocolates for family. Just goes to show customers remember kind gestures.

Bernay is an historic, picturesque & quiet town.

Bernay is an historic, picturesque & quiet town. Its origins date back to the medieval period & its architecture reflects this era in time. A walk along the bank of the river which flows through Bernay allows for solitude and quiet reflection. Very well worth a visit

Bernay is a lovely little town in Normandy with lots of charm and beautiful old buildings. It’s easy to wander around, especially along the main street, which has everything you need. There’s a good mix of restaurants too — Carpe Diem served simple French food, and we could bring our dogs, which was a bonus. Chez Gaston and La Perle were both fantastic — small, busy spots with amazing food. Bernay’s also a great base for exploring the area, with plenty of interesting places to visit nearby.

This is the fourth time we have used this hotel for overnight stopover from Bergerac to Calais. Will definitely use again, and would recommend this hotel to everyone especially as it’s only 15 minutes from motorway, but well worth the detour.

A town full of history and character. Lovely architecture. I'd like to go back and explore. Great shops and restaurants. You do need to book restaurants in advance as we were turned away from 5 places and were relieved to eventually get in somewhere felling super hungry and tired.

We were not visiting Bernay.

We were not visiting Bernay. The hotel was an overnight stop avoiding Rouen centre hotels, and the cheap hotels in the surrounding suburbs. Most of which I find ghastly. We ate at the adjacent restaurant, as there was no obvious alternative in the immediate vicinity. An interesting if not inexpensive experience, but hey we're on holiday and would go there again.

We liked the self check in as it was nice and easy for us on arrival. The room was lovely and clean with plenty of space - the bathroom was huge with lots of towels. We were very comfortable for one night. Breakfast in the morning was fine, fairly basic but adequate. The children really enjoyed the pool. We ate at a nearby asian style buffet restaurant, set price as much as you want was brilliant and easy, very close. The property has lots parking and Bernay was walking distance and some lovely shops for gifts. Very happy with our stay.

The location is very rural and picturesque but is less than ten minutes from the centre of Bernay. The garden offered the children a good area to play football and volleyball (after a long drive). The house is comfortable with a good shower. The main bedroom has a good sized bed and the sofa bed was comfortable for the children.

Excellent. We stayed at this hotel on our way to La Rochelle and it was so good, especially the restaurant, that we changed our intended route home to take it in on our way back. Ideal for a one night stopover with good food.
