We absolutely LOVED staying at the Hotel Colomba. The staff were so so lovely and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was nothing short of perfect, the rooms were cosy, clean and nicely decorated. The location is so central it's ideal. We will 100% be coming back here. Do yourself a favour and make this hotel where you stay on Bonifacio.

We loved the concert at the church, walking around the Bastion, strolling around the harbor, taking boat to Lavezzu Island where we walked the trails. We enjoyed several meals in Bonifacio. All tasty. The guide for city walk from tourist office was knowledgeable.

Bonifaccio is a beautiful ancient fortified town built on a cliff with a harbour very much protected from the open sea. The town is wonderful to explore, including the citadel on the very top. It’s a good walk up and in the heat less fit people might find it rather too much. Once at the top you can descend on a flight of stairs back under the cliffs which is very steep and has possibly 200 steps - again if you’re not fit and don’t have the right footwear, don’t do it. Up top, there are a number of restaurants in the Corsican style. Around the harbour there are many tourist shops, convenience stores including wonderful little family supermarket built underneath the rocks and some very nice looking but rather expensive restaurants. They do have a wonderful view over the super yachts and the food they were serving looked excellent.

Bonfacio is lovely.

Bonfacio is lovely. The Old Town is perched on the cliffs and offers superb views across the sea to Sardinia. It is packed with lovely winding streets and little shops and restaurants offered a wide choice of food. Our fav restaurant in Old Town was Chez Julien and near the port, Chez Francis. We didn't have a car but still managed to get around - there's a bus service to Porto Vecchio and you can take the ferry to Sardinia, it only takes an hour. There are plenty of boat trips from companies dotted around the harbour. We were there off season, there are more bus routes available during the main summer season. We still really enjoyed our time there though.

Bonifacio is truly breathtaking — perched dramatically on limestone cliffs, with views that look like something out of a dream. The old town is charming and full of character, with narrow cobbled streets, historic buildings, and a unique blend of French and Mediterranean atmosphere. The harbor is lively and elegant, full of yachts, restaurants, and a laid-back holiday vibe, while the upper town offers stunning panoramas and a rich sense of history. The cliff walk and the view toward Sardinia are unforgettable. Parking can be tricky so be prepared for a hike:-)

Fascinating old town high up on cliffs, could get too busy in high season as streets are narrow, plenty of restaurants, down the hill to harbour nicer restaurants. Tourist train travels between both. Very hilly for people with walking difficulty.

A lovely old town, full of charm, character and quaint...

A lovely old town, full of charm, character and quaint streets. There were plenty of bars/restaurants and everyone was very friendly. For a different feel, the harbour was very buzzy, again with lots of waterside bars and restaurants to choose from whilst watching the boats.

It's a really cute little oasis and the staff is just exceptional. After making my booking Valentina reached out to me via text message to ensure they can accommodate my arrival. Her mom, Donatella, greeted me once I arrived, and gave me all the information I needed for my stay. She gave me a map of the area with all the best beaches and restaurants and points of interest. The only place I stayed in Corsica where they had information in English which was really convenient for me.

The room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the Bonifacio harbour which was fantastic, the double glazing in the room worked a treat at night. All the staff were friendly and always eager to help. We would stay in this hotel and the room we had again no question.
