Very clean, comfortable bedding, quiet. The kitchen equipped with everything needed and the equipment of the good quality. Specially appreciated a small beautiful tea-pot, the water boiler with the possibility to program the water temperature and the water filter jar. It is an excellent idea to give an opportunity to filter the tap water(what is really bad in the area). The owners are friendly, hospitable, generous and helpful

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the...

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the last 20-odd years but never stayed here until now. It was a superb choice: close to the cycle route, 15 mins from three excellent bakeries and one minute from the promenade. There’s a good choice of restaurants, ice cream parlours, kiosks and bars within 5-6 minutes’ walk and the two towns just a bit further in the other direction. I would recommend the area to anyone: there are activities for the whole family, for beach fans or people looking for cultural days out. It’s worth going just for the food but the scenery is spectacular with some fantastic sunsets. The weather is changeable but all you need is decent clothing. Top tip: visit Boulangerie Bleue in Saint Gilles for superb bread and some interesting desserts!

The hotel is in an excellent location - very close to the train station and the main street. The room was very quiet even though the hotel is in the centre of town. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. We were grateful for the air conditioning as it was quite warm during our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast which was good value. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. This is the most friendly and happy hotel we have stayed in. Thank you!

We arrived on bikes absolutely exhausted and soaked through after a long day’s cycling in terrible weather. The welcome that we received from Eric was wonderful. A great secure facility for the bikes and beautiful room with everything we could wish for . Fantastic bathroom and comfortable bed. Eric was a real pleasure to meet, a real gentleman and had a great sense of humour

Staff were very attentive and friendly and addressed our issues with the size of the room and lack of storage and moved us to a much bigger room quickly - the next morning. The breakfast was really good with a wide variety to suit everyone. Rooms were clean and cleaned daily if desired. The pool was lovely and clean. Beautiful hotel.

The house is well decorated. Excellent location, close to town yet in quiet area. Great to have outdoor space and the conservatory was good to spend time when weather was overcast. Great to have the garage to keep car safe.
