Clean, convenient and comfortable. I arrived on the late ferry and had no problems finding the hotel and checking in - the friendly chap at reception was very pleasant and professional. The room was perfectly fine and had everything I needed. A few minute walk to the main street in the morning, it was lovely. I’d stay again.

Friendly helpful reception staff. Our room had a lovely view over the roundabout and bathing pavilion, with distant views to the beach. Excellent sound insulation with windows shut. Well thought out room design (prestige room with sea view). Bicycle racks in secure underground car park for safe undercover bike storage.

Location is fantastic. And room was really spacious with a view of the sea even from the bed! So fall asleep with a view of the sea!!! Staff were very friendly. We were able to stay an extra night in the same room. They arranged this for us at our request, even in the high season.

It's the kind of place to just relax and take your time to...

It's the kind of place to just relax and take your time to enjoy the tranquility. Easy to go everywhere on foot. After crossing the drawbridge (Pont Ango) from the town centre, It's just a short walk (20-30 minutes) to reach the Notre-Dame de Bon Secours which sits on a hilltop with one of the best views of the port. Easy to find good seafood, though do bear in mind a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays - highly recommend Comptoir à Huître, bit remote but worth the walk. Do get up early on days 2/4/6 to check out the market along the Grand Rue, as most stores close around noon.

Have been to Dieppe many times previously and love it.

Have been to Dieppe many times previously and love it. Lovely views, next to the harbour and sea, great choice of restaurants, although we are addicted to Le Tout Va Bien, which suits us perfectly. The only downside at the moment is that the main bridge for easy access to the sea front and harbour is closed. I gather work is 10 months behind schedule, and the tortuous diversion for motorists is very poorly signposted..:(

Dieppe has everything for a short break and lots of...

Dieppe has everything for a short break and lots of restaurants to choose from, The market is fantastic and the kite festival was on. Lovely long walk along the prom. The station is just ten minutes walk from the town and the harbour Is very picturesque.

The cafés and restaurants all serve local fare, but if you're self-catering, the market and Carrefour shops in the centre have all you need to make some interesting meals. The little shops are excellent with lots of local souvenirs, but they're quite pricey. The castle is well worth a visit, including an amazing art gallery and information about the history of the Dieppe region. There's also plenty to do in the surrounding area and some guides are available for interesting themed walks around the town. A pity the Pont Colbert is out of service as this causes lots of wasted time crossing the estuary.

There are nice day trips to be done from Dieppe.

There are nice day trips to be done from Dieppe. I went to the pretty resort of Le Tréport and went up there (free !) Funicular Railway for a magnificent view at the top. Then took a 45 minute train-ride to the beautiful historic city of Rouen on the river Seine.

Chateau museum closed Monday and Tuesday. 6.5 euro admission charge, but worth visiting. Lovely 12-14 century church free to visit. Motor boat rides from the harbour approx 14 euros for about 45 mins out and back, but commentary only in French. Moules frites from about 15 euros at many restaurants. Cheap hot dog and burger stalls along the beach from 3.50 for a hot dog in french bread.

Staff at the Hotel Windsor are always very welcoming, friendly and professional at all times. We’ve stayed a few times now and we have been very comfortable. We particularly asked for a room with a bath as opposed to a shower. Which was granted. As we were catching the 6:30am ferry we didn’t have breakfast. The location of the hotel is easy to find, is convenient for the ferry, or shopping in Dieppe, or sightseeing which is a must.

This is a great example of how a hotel can be really well run by a great (I assume) family to make it near perfect despite being a bit older. Easy parking nearby and the hotel is right on the lovely Dieppe Beach, behind the hotel are loads of restaurants and the port. Breakfast was great! The staff were super friendly and view amazing. I need to come back to Dieppe and I know already I want to stay here again!

Very welcoming lady on reception. Room was well appointed and clean. Bed very comfortable and bathroom much better than other places we gave stayed. Although there was a MacD over the way the receptionist recommended a restaurant to the right of the hotel where we enjoyed a good meal at the end of our stay in France. Also the Ferry terminal was easy and quick to get to the next morning

Our second visit of the trip as we stayed here when we arrived in France - this was the night before our ferry home. As before, an excellent experience. Space for 3 bikes in our room, comfy beds, very clean and well located. I particularly like the team on the Reception desk who are friendly and helpful.
