Lovely welcoming reception area and staff. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean, towels soft, bed so comfy and everything thought of. Grounds and pool very well cared for. Couldn't fault it at all and would certainly recommend and visit without doubt when next in area.

It felt like stepping back in time but in a good way. Le Grand Hôtel is an intriguing and interesting place to stay in a beautiful mountain location. Everything was spotless and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The pool had lovely views too and I thoroughly enjoyed swimming in it. We stayed for three nights and had a spacious suite which was exceptionally good value. We enjoyed the food and one evening there was a White Party which we joined in. 30 Euros for a delicious three courses meal, red, white and rose wine included in bottles not carafes and music. We also booked a couple of treatments in the thermal spa. One of these being a white clay flotation pool - an amazing experience to be weightless! There are gardens and a lake to wander around and a small gorge and imagine what it was like in its heyday in the 1930’s/40’s. We loved it all!

Firstly Nadia was such a wonderful host very welcoming into her lovely home. The room where I stayed was such an inviting one with everything you need for a great stay.I had been doing the transverse of the pyrenees on my bike and La Belle D'Ame was my last nights stay before I finished the next day. I can say this was the best and most comfortable place I stayed in the 6 days. After a great night's sleep i was greeted to the most spectacular breakfast on an amazing balcony with stunning views of the pyrenees mountains. Thank you Nadia it was a joy staying at your wonderful home and meeting you I will be definitely coming back for sure and would recommend anyone to do so if down in this area!!

Our stay was amazing. The view from the hotel is beautiful and the service is also perfect. Noortje was an amazing host. We asked her for a vegan option for the breakfast and she surprised us with a whole delicious vegan breakfast with homemade soy iogurt. We used the shared kictchen and it's perfect. We highly recommend staying in this hotel.

An extremely well equipped apartment with mountain views sat above Vernet les Bains. Very warm welcome with everything explained with care. Apartments is very comfortable and of a good size with excellent kitchen and shower room. A balcony to two side looks over the town and onto the mountains. Walk to the village centre takes less than 10 minutes. Markets on Wednesday and Saturday when we stayed.

    The setting was wonderful, peaceful but close to everything...

    The setting was wonderful, peaceful but close to everything we wanted. The little town, a few minutes' walk away, was ravishing - it's a UNESCO site, as was the late 17th-century fort dominating the hills above it. I loved the food, the way it was presented. The only problem we had was the mosquitoes which tormented us for 2 of our 4 nights.

    We had a wonderful stay.

    We had a wonderful stay. Marina and Florian did their best to help us and they went out of their way to provide us with a lot of information. Thank you both so much for all your help while we were staying with you on Wednesday night -17th May. Your hospitality was perfect and very welcoming. Your food was up with the five star restaurants, deserving a "Michelin Star"! As we were unable to take the Yellow Train due to the strikes and the complex problems with SNCF, we will definitely make an effort to visit Villefranche-de-Conflent again to go on the yellow train, once it is securely up and running again. The beautiful homemade breakfast, which was included in our price, was also excellent! We thoroughly recommend people visit and stay here! Great value for money!
