A lovely old farmhouse , with many period features , The rooms took me straight back to my own childhood , The owners were helpfull and very friendly , i loved the quirkiness of the turn of last century decor in the rooms , brilliant The breakfast was mostly homegrown products by the lady and her homemade Jams and bread etc with coffee and tea and orange juice , very filling , this place has lots of outdoor space with mature trees and quaint buildings

Château de Monsac felt like stepping into a living fairytale. Fabienne and Frédéric welcomed us with warmth and kindness, and the château itself is beautifully restored with great attention to detail. Our “Lord” suite offered peaceful views of Monsac, the pool, and green hills — with the sound of church bells in the background. We loved Fabienne’s delicious breakfasts and dinners, her care for our son — who felt like a little noble guest — the heated pool, and the evenings filled with wine and conversation on the terrace. A special gathering with locals, thanks to our hosts, made the experience even more magical. This place has a soul. We’ll never forget it. Thank you!

Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne...

Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne and up to Perigord region. Brantome is well worth a visit to the north. There are a couple of great restaurants, Le P'tit Loup and All'Olivo in particular. However, Sunday and Monday evenings it all closes up a bit so you need to be able to cater for yourself for food and drink. Lalinde is on the flat so easy to get around for those with any mobility issues.

Absolutely everything. Brian and Cheri were marvellous hosts- Cheri put on the most fabulous breaks fast and has thought of everything in the rooms. Brian knows almost everything there is to know about the region, and helped us with activities and information. He also was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the train station when our car rental from Bordeaux did not go as planned. If you visit Lalinde - or any of the villages in the Dordogne - do NOT miss the chance to meet Brian and Cheri at their incredible Maison.

Fantastic and helpful host at a beautiful house in the most tranquil setting. We loved the birdsong and fresh air every morning with our breakfast by the pool.. The local village, Lalinde, is walkable but it's steep on the way home! There are a couple of bars, cafes and restaurants, a lovely canal walk and a market on Thursday.

The location was very convenient to explore both the more touristy areas of Dordogne and the towns of Perigieux and Bergerac. Lalinde is a lovely little town where you'd find everything you need for your stay. The accommodation itself was spacious and comfortable.
