Location, hotel, room, parking, food and the owners were all superb. Felt homely and welcoming. The room was spacious and the owner very friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant within the hotel was excellent and the outside restaurant terrace charming. Beautiful walk behind the hotel along the lake. So relaxing.

A beautiful countryside home - the kind you dream of - very tastefully decorated. Easy free parking in the enclosed garden, Wi-Fi that works well (fine for work video calls), a big room with the original shutters on the windows and wooden floors, comfortable bed (except those huge soft square pillows common in France but I have my own), fully adjustable heating, perfect bathroom, great shower, a good breakfast, the host’s own artwork around the place, a big garden with a fenced-off area with sheep, goats, and chickens (don’t worry, you don’t hear them - it’s silent at night). Lots of forest to walk in on the doorstep. Sabine is welcoming and kind but not in the least intrusive and I enjoyed some chats with her in my basic French. My dog adored her.
