Lyon is a gastronomic center with a pretty architectural facade ranging from antiquity to modern day. Place Bellecour is centrally located between the Saône and Rhône Rivers in the 2nd arrondissement and opens out into major shopping streets.

Horrible, dirty city. There are better European locations to travel to. The old town is literally one street that will take you 15 minutes to walk through and back. The metro map is confusing, with no English translations anywhere. The entire city is under construction. The cathedral has beautiful architecture with French descriptions.
