What an amazing stay dispite the medical purpose of my trip. I firstly booked this hotel because of the location just a few minutes walk from the Clinique Bouchard. Then I promptly realized that was the best choice to do for so many other reasons : wonderfull staff ready to help for anything, great room with large comfy bed, ensuite bathroom spotless clean with subtile airbreeze and lovely smell amenities, handfull balcony and stylish rockypop furnishing & decoration, specific ambiance in all areas. On top of all, easy acces from A50 motorway and a useful on site parking (15€ per day but with large parking slots unlike most of unfamous narrow parkings in Marseille). All together, I will definitely come back at Rockypop Hotel for my next stay in Marseille. Special thanks to Julien from the Front Desk for his dedication and commitment to guest satisfaction. A warm thank you to Emma from the Breakfast Team for her practical and invaluable advice on how to make a bandage using whatever was on hand and some tape 😉

Only stayed one day and night but the old town and port area are great places to wander and eat. The Cathedral and Museum of Civilizations area is good to wander around. Notre Dame de la Garde was closed for visits early on Sundays for Mass. Missed that one but had seen it previously.

Hop-on/Hop-off Sightseeing tour well worth the money - especially if only staying 2/3 days. Lots of beggars/ vagrants - felt safe walking around Old Port at night but stayed away from back streets,

Marseille is a beautiful city with lots to do and see.

Marseille is a beautiful city with lots to do and see. Rich on history and culture. Sometimes it’s taunting to climb all the stairs and hills- but - worth it! Great local and international cuisine. The Calanques are stunning ! The city card is a great deal for sightseers.

Marseille is an exciting city with many faces.

Marseille is an exciting city with many faces. After visiting museums in the city center, it is worth taking a boat trip. Take a boat trip to the island of If, the island of Friuli, or one of the Calanques. It is also worth hiking in the Calanque National Park and running along the extra-long and beautiful seaside promenade. The seaside restaurant or the Triskell Breton crêperie are also not to be missed.

lots of good cafe & resturant and most of them are very reasonble priced. Cruises are good except that the guide only speaks in French. most of the exhibitions in the museum only written in French too. it is depressing to see the homeless with the children sleeping on the street.

There was so much to see and do!

There was so much to see and do! The History Museum in the Bourse shopping centre was fantastic! The Cosquer Cave was wonderful. We took the boat trip to the Calanques and enjoyed it. It was easy to get around and we used buses and the Metro. The best souvenir store was "Marseille in The Box". 13 Rue Reine Elizabeth. It is opposite the Carrefore store outside The Bourse. The man who runs it has items that are made for him in Marseille and unique items that are not found in the souvenir stores on the waterfront. He also speaks English and has good information about visiting Marseille. Great restuarant: Il Trio, 29 Pl.aux Huiles. In big plaza just behind the waterfront. Delicious and large size platter at a reasonable price.

The apartment is very cute and homely, with a small balcony, a bath and everything you need for a stay in Marseille. The neighbourhood is great, with bakeries, cafes, wine bars and restaurants all at your door step, but it's also very easy to get by tram into the town centre/Vieux Port. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with, and was very understanding and accommodating when my train arrived much later than planned! Would definitely recommend this as a great base for Marseille.

My family (my wife, my brother, our children and their partner, 3 in the sixties 8 in the thirties) is now really a fan of this villa, of the host and of Marseille- shortly, we loved it. Bus Nr. 61 starts at he house and brings you directly to the Vieux Port (Old Harbor) where life - especially in the evening - is fantastic. Food and drinks are marvellous - so what could be better ? Thank you Reno (our host) !

This is a conveniently located hotel in the heart of the city and close to the Vieux port. All of staff are friendly and accommodating especially at the front desk. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast on the rooftop terrace which had a huge selection to choose from (would definitely recommend paying extra for this!). The room was very comfortable, modern and clean.
