Everything was really clean and the shower was fantastic - we really appreciated this. Kettle and toaster provided (a kettle is essential for the Brits to make tea!) and lots of crockery / cutlery, plus washing-up things. We could park at the end of the road for free (although I don't think this is possible on Friday and Saturday nights).

Nantua is set on a beautiful lake in a perfect setting. There is a great bar/restaurant beside the lake where you can while away an evening and watch the sun go down with a beautiful sunset over the lake. There are lovely walks and the town feels very peaceful.

Lovely hotel overlooking the lake. Our room was well-equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, although coffee came from a machine. Dog friendly … and good walks from the doorstep. The location is its selling point; it’s at the quiet end of the lakeside road, yet it takes just a few minutes to walk into the town. This is our second stay and we shall certainly return.

Amazing views across the lake and to the high mountains all around. Our room was spotless with very comfortable beds, great hot shower. Compact but exactly what the traveller needs. The restaurant food is first class - really good - but they don't have enough staff serving so it's pretty slow. We were not in a rush & enjoyed it very much . Lovely people running the hotel

Well located hotel, clean functional rooms with great showers. Very impressive restaurant. Really smart, delicious French food. Good value set menu at 38.5 euros for 5 courses. Waiting staff incredibly professional and attentative. We stayed here on our way back to the UK from skiing. At 2 hours from the resort, it was the perfect location.

Nantua is a stunning location. The lake is a picture and the hotel rooms facing the lake (at a slightly higher price-but worth paying) have a view second to none. The restaurant also enjoys this aspect across the lake, as one enjoys the excellent food. We have now stayed here for three years and look forward to returning.
