Paris at Christmas : Visited as had read somewhere that Paris is often underrated in comparison to the conventional European Christmas centres . This wasn't paler by any comparison , rather more convenient by Eurostar with less bustle
Do go to Gallery Lafayette : however that was probably the most congested place

Lots to do and see.
Lots to do and see. Go with someone who has been there before or have a long talk with someone who has because there is so much to know. This was my second trip to Paris. Made a lot of mistakes the first time and learned even more tips this time. For example if you want to go into the Louis Vuitton store, you can stand outside in line for hours or make a reservation before you go to Paris. They were 10 minutes late for our reservation so they gave us a bottle of champagne as an apology. Love LV! You can walk for days in the Louvre so decide what you most want to see, look at the map of the museum to find which wings you really want to see, then use the entrance closest to your goals or you will wear yourself out trying to get through the crowds and it becomes a maze. Get free tickets to Notre Dame online 3 days before you plan to go. If you purchase tickets online, they may be bogus. Use the Toot bus to save money on Taxis. It's a hop on/hop off bus that goes to most of the main tourist attractions. We used it to go back and forth to our hotel too.

A beautiful city, its cuisine really enchants you, but it's really tragic and the behavior in Montmartre from so many waiters there in the cafes was disappointing and unacceptably ironic, they told us "Paris is not Greece" when we asked to use a toilet elsewhere, but they also asked for money to go to the toilet. Overall, as an experience, yes, it was a very beautiful country because we had a French friend and he took us to very beautiful areas, but my sister got poisoned by their amazing cuisine and as soon as we returned to Greece, we were both sick with influenza A, I don't know how that happened.
You have very good transportation with the metro, you could go anywhere you wanted and for 12 € a day for unlimited trips. We liked the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadero, Saint Michel, the Latin Quarter and the Saint Elysees.

Paris is always a good idea!
Paris is always a good idea! Sad to see so many homeless people about the streets. The crowded streets seem to become more so on every trip. The Christmas lights and atmosphere were iconic. We ate at Chez Georges, Le Grand Colbert, Chez Loulou and Iovine's Opera. All were excellent in different ways. We visited the Picasso Museum, the Petit Palais and visited many different central areas. We walked 20,000 steps per day and used the metro from time to time. We are an older couple (my husband celebrated his 80th birthday during the trip!) but we still enjoy the buzz of Paris and go annually.

St Chapelle was great.
St Chapelle was great. The Louvre is overrated (but we saw the jewels). The French strike messed things up (Tours we booked that day did not happen). Versailles is overrated but Le Petit Trianon is nice. Stay away from MacDonalds, for fast food KFC was great.

Great location, 10 mins walk to the tower and over the road from the Duplex metro which was a doddle to navigate and use.
Small but clean hotel with very polite and helpful staff. I’ve travelled a fair bit and this place tucked all the box’s for a relatively cheap visit to France.
We didn’t have breakfast there as there’s to many places to eat especially local bakeries .
Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved the place. Very clean and comfortable room, and the area is great. The 11th arrondissement is full of lovely shops and cafes. One of the best experiences in Paris actually. Paris is always super expensive and this hotel is not cheap, but it is definitely worth it for the quietness and the environment. Comfortable place to come back to after a long day walking in the city.

The best place to stay in all of Paris! The hosts are the kindest and warmest people I have met during my entire trip through Europe. The place is very nice and clean, it has an incredible view, and the breakfast could not have been more delicious. Without a doubt, staying at Cote Montmartre was the best decision and one of the best experiences I had in France.

Room was clean, beds were very comfortable.
Bathroom was nice and big, large shower, with nice toiletries.
Breakfast was rich and the breakfast room was large enough and bright.
Wifi worked nicely, which is usually not the case in hotels in France :)
Location was indeed great, with bus and metro stations to the heart of old Paris, near by.

Great location for our needs - road trip from south of France back to England and used as a stopover hotel in Paris for one night. Easy to get to by car and quick to get out of Paris. Cheap but good option for us and our children.
