This was our first time on this coastline, so did not know what to expect. Pornic exceeded our expectations. The harbour is surrounded by numerous restaurants and café bars with a range of prices. We found a regular venue for our coffee and tried several restaurants for evening meals. Good value for money! We found the locals very helpful. They did not find our lack of French language an inconvenience and attempted to communicate with us. We visited several of the surrounding beaches. They were not overcrowded and had good facilities. Maybe the town was sufferring from a little “End of Season Fatigue”, but it looked rather tired and the three meals we had there were very modest, yet expensive.
