I had an amazing 7-night stay at Golden Tulip Porto-Vecchio. Cozy room with a beautiful view of the sunrise — absolutely stunning! The heated pool was a real highlight, perfect at any time of day. The staff were outstanding — professional, friendly, and always helpful. Vivat to the hotel! I’ll definitely come back again!

This brand new hotel is beautifully designed and exceptionally well kept. The owner is the most dedicated person and makes a wonderful stay an even better with her positive demeanour. Our room had the loveliest views of the bay and was very comfortable for our family of three. The pool area is gorgeous too.

Excellent place! I would definitely recommend. Quiet, a lot of nature. You felt exactly at home, among friends. We stayed in a room with patio, which was completely separate from the main building and it suited us fine. The hotel staff were all very friendly, but Laura from reception was excellent and a great help with all things we needed organized (we changed the plan during the stay and we needed her help for reorganization). Moreover, our flight was delayed and we thought that maybe we won’t make it in time - they kept in touch with us all the way and were really helpful with advice. The polish guy driving the buggy (Denis I think) was also a great company, really friendly and helpful. Last but not least, the cook - Virgil - did a great job, he remembered our order and prepared delicious food.

There are two parts to the town - harbour front about 5 mins...

There are two parts to the town - harbour front about 5 mins walk; citadel about 15-20 mins walk. It is steep uphill to citadel but there are routes that smooth out the walk. Old town is scenic with lots of restaurants doing Corsican food - quite competetive on pricing as a result so you can get 3 courses for €26 and the place is buzzing in the evening. Harbourside has fewer restaurants and more typical sea side food. If you hire a car, it will likely be electric. The main charging points are at the Auchan supermarket about 2km north of Porto-Vecchio. Despite the beaches to the south, eg Palombaggia, being more famous we found Pinarellu to the North as a great beach location

A beautiful little town with a lovely marina and bars to sit...

A beautiful little town with a lovely marina and bars to sit and watch the world go by. The town is up quite a steep hill but is a nice, compact centre with a lot to see and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to spend time relaxing and winding down.

Superb beaches in Porto Vecchio area and beautiful views. Very nice old town. Avoid mid summer as too hot and crowded May and September perfect Head up to Col de Bavella for superb walking and views, incl Ospedale forest en route Bonifacio is also fantastic

I didn't find anything particularly great about Porto-Vecchio. It's close enough to Banifacio, which, in my opinion, has a lot more to see and do. Porto-Vecchio is okay to pass by, but I wouldn't stay there specifically.

The old city was lovely, lots to explore, great selection of restaurants - some with wonderful views on terraces overlooking the marina. Centrally located to fan out to lots of beautiful beaches, the mountains, and other quaint villages and towns.

This area has the best beaches on the island, and also two...

This area has the best beaches on the island, and also two of the loveliest towns to visit - Porto-Vecchio, and Bonifacio. Numerous hiking opportunities, too, although we did not have enough time for them. Car is a must here, as public transport is non-existent. Figari airport is very easy to get in/out of, and is 20-30 min from all the key beaches/towns/sites on this side of the island

Generous sized room for 2 adults and our teenage daughter - also very happy with the "proper" bed for our daughter i.e. not a sofa bed in terms of size and comfort. Top quality bedding and pillows and our room was spotlessly clean throughout. All staff extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish. Wide variety of options at breakfast and we had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant - very very good. Glad that our room was the "street view" side of the hotel and not the "carpark view" side.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. We had such a wonderful and tranquil stay there. Staff were all extremely accommodating and helpful and the 24/7 whatsapp service was a fabulous touch. The facilities (pool and gym) were great and very quiet. The private beach was also wonderful, with gorgeous sunsets (and ended up being the site of our engagement!). The hotel stay and amenities were not cheap, but it’s definitely justified by the exceptional service.

Location is great and this is basicaly what you pay for, because the rest is overpriced. Rooms are nice but the equipment of the terrace is worn. Very nice pool (hotel area, not apartments one). Be aware-if you're using iPhone maps to get to the hotel, it may lead you from the other side via another hotel area and you won't get there-we had to go back and it took another 30 minutes to get to the hotel.

An excellent hotel. The rooms were clean and well-equiped, the staff was very nice and helpful. The pool is really nice and relatively big in comparison with other hotels we stayed at in Corsica. An excellent breakfast with a nice choice of local products, fruit and vegetables.

The owner is very friendly and helpful, and easily contacted if you need anything. The view from the balcony is amazing, and you get to enjoy the live music from the hotel next door most evenings. We will definitely be coming back!
