It was amazing two days in Provins! Landlords were extraordinary care and attentive. It's the first time when we can surely say: we will come back certainly. The flat is located on the first floor in the house with own closed area. There is free parking that's very good if you are travelling by car. The flat is vary cozy and comfortable. Hosts cared about everything: from cold drinks in the fridge and sweets to guides of town and hygiene supplies. Welcome sign was so cute! I exactly recommend this accomodation!

The perfect overnight escape from Paris.

The perfect overnight escape from Paris. Hard to believe you can get there simply with your Navigo card. The village is super charming, especially in the autumn when the leaves are changing, perfect for long walks and a cozy picnic. Restaurant options are few, but croix d’or serves classic French and is a serene alternative to the other 12th century dining option, amongst a lively troop of troubadours. A stay at Maison d'hôtes Stella Cadente will certainly be romantic, memorable, and light on the wallet (though recommended for couples minus kids). Bring a bottle of wine for the fireside and request a room with one of the oversized clawfoot tubs.

Loved the 2 distinct characters / medieval upper town, lower town with shopping dining etc - still quite medieval. Easy to walk around but beware - steep walk to upper town. Provins Pass is a good option for seeing points of interest - 17 euros. Includes entry to several monuments which are 5-7 euros for each one, plus reduced prices for others, eg half price for La Roseraie rose garden.

A perfectly preserved 12th century walled town, much to see...

A perfectly preserved 12th century walled town, much to see and do, an entire underground city (Souterrains), medieval tower/prison, and just walking around - you are transported back in time. We stayed in the Demure des Vieux Bains Inn - so fabulous!! Had wonderful meals in great restaurants, it was the perfect 2 night trip. Do yourself a favor and leave Paris for a couple of nights, you won't be disappointed.

The mediaeval town of Provins has literally hundreds of...

The mediaeval town of Provins has literally hundreds of fabulous old properties as well as the star sights of the Church, the Tower and the Walls. We walked several miles including some steep uphill stretches and loved every bit of it. Lots of restaurants give a good choice of price and menu.

This accommodation was absolutely fantastic. It is located in a medieval house on the edge of the main square in Provins. The apartment was warm, welcoming, and very clean. The interior decoration was gorgeous. It had a small kitchenette and was an easy walk to restaurants and boulangerie for breakfast. We absolutely loved our stay!! Thank you.

This was an 'OK' hotel that felt a little faded in many respects. Perfectly fine, but it could do with a bit of a refresh as the decor was all a bit tired and well used. The subterranean bar was interesting, although we had to wait for 30 minutes to be served - it wasn't busy.
