Easy to find, close to a main road. There is plenty of free car parking available. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable, well appointed and quiet (if you keep the windows closed). The restaurant is a short walk to across the car park and it is extremely popular.

Hotel du Parc is every bit as grand when you get there as it appears in the photos. (Sometimes, hotels from this era can look a bit jaded in real life.) It is well maintained, beautifully furnished, and the rooms have genuine history, with famous people having stayed there. We dined in the hotel's restaurant and were not disappointed: the cuisine and service were excellent. So the hotel actually exceeded our expectations. And there's free parking on site, too.

The hotel was flexible on my arrival time, there was somewhere secure and dry to store my bicycle. Room was comfortable and a good breakfast. Lots of options for local places to eat in the evening as well as interesting places to visit in the town
