This is probably the best value hotel I have ever used! The rooms are fine, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the breakfast is exceptional. All this at a very reasonable price. Then there is Patrick, truly a one-off! Formidable! Free car park, an enormous shopping centre just down the road and very easy to find. Highly recommended.

We had 3 rooms which were very comfortable. I was particularly pleased with the room which you allocated for my elderly mother with walk in shower. The restaurant meal was very good.

Beautiful location with a historic building.

Beautiful location with a historic building. Dinner was fantastic again, and the wine selection is exceptional. The option for outdoor breakfast was limited due to the limited number of tables. We will definitely be back.

The accommodation is far too noisy, like a motorway service...

The accommodation is far too noisy, like a motorway service station. My room was infested with large black beetles. The rooms are sprayed with insecticide every day. These insects won't be visible to people just passing through, only to those who, like me, have stayed for about four nights. I then fled. We had booked five nights.

The setting is glorious: hundreds of meters of lawn going up a pleasant slope. Our dog loved running through the property and we enjoyed walks with him. The welcome to the hotel was personal (someone came out to our car the moment we arrived (which was also the case in earlier visits). The dinner and breakfast were delicious and beautifully presented.
