The house is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. From the windows, we could see the Chateau de Chinon in the top of the town. The owner, Marielle, is lovely and welcoming, and her garden is a dream, fruit trees, flowers and enough shadow to enjoy a sunny afternoon. Our son (7 yo) enjoyed the stay a lot, as he could play and run in the garden and moreover jump in the swimming pool as much as he wanted. Marielle and her husband were helpful, attentive and gave us tips as what to visit and where to eat in the city. It was the perfect stay for some days on our way to the South.

A fantastic spot to stay! The owners are lovely people, the rooms are immaculate, superb area to exercise a dog after spending hours in a car and the breakfast is delicious. Superb! Merci!

Excellent place to stay. The whole property has this homey feel to it. Rooms are spacious and very clean. It is located just a few minutes walk from cafes, restaurants, bars and other amenities, yet the surrounding area is very quite.

The hotel/bar/resto was most accomdating as we 3 cyclists arrived. Problem: it was on a French national holiday. Most local restos were closed as was their kitchen so they kindly offered us an excellent cheese and salad evening meal. Perfect! After cycling n Km we just needed beer, bread and salad. With that we were off to their really good bedrooms and, in the morning to a good breakfast

A family run country hotel in a lovely peaceful location. The restaurant offers a home cooked, seasonal menu with local (Loire valley) wines. Comfortable rooms (if a little small), with tea/coffee and a small balcony. Good access to Peage for travel to/from Caen. Our dog was welcome (charge 12 euros) and had the run of the substantial grounds.

Beautiful historic hotel which has been lovingly bought back to original with huge medieval fireplace in breakfast room, original ceiling beams and set in peaceful lush courtyard garden within walking distance to everything Chinon has to offer. We had such a wonderful warm welcome from Marielle and her communication was fantastic even before we arrived. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the rooms and bathrooms, to the delicious breakfast. It was great that Marielle allowed us to use the dining table to feed our children at in the evening rather than already needing to take them out to a restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend Rêves et Rivières to families. It was great to be able to visit the town of Chinon nearby which was a beautiful place to walk around with the kids.
