This was by far, the easiest of all the non reception hotels to gain entrance into. The code was sent in a timely fashion, and for once, the mechanism and system were simple, fast and WELL LIT! The bedroom was incredibly spacious, with large windows overlooking the street below. And although literally across the road from the main station, it was quiet, well lit and safe. Strong, hot, easy to operate shower and big, clean towels and spotlessly clean, warm, large double bed. Continental breakfast was fine. Owner/operator was very friendly and extremely helpful.

The first and major selling point is the friendliness and involvement of the owners. They really went out of their way to make us (group of 8) feel at home and cater to every need we had and provide us with tips for restaurants and attractions. The second selling point is the ambiance of the place. If you are in for old-worldly charme of a historic chateau this place is absolutely to be considered. It has loads of charme and given its location away from the village down a long private entry road it provides absolute calm.

Very friendly and accommodating host and great location with lots of farm animals nearby ! It is very quiet even though it is nearby a main road that get you access to all shopping amenities within 8 minutes in both directions! We had our dog with us so it was very convenient that we could just go on long walks once we stepped outside.

We needed somewhere to stay before catching the ferry from...

We needed somewhere to stay before catching the ferry from Cherbourg and chose this property based on its excellent 10/10 rating – and we were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, we were wowed. The property is located in a quiet little hamlet with just a few other homes – peaceful and tranquil, exactly what we like. The building itself is beautiful, with a mini turret on one side which turned out to house the spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms, lounge, and bathroom. The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and cosy seating space. We were warmly welcomed by the owners. Although they didn’t speak much English and our French is limited, their son – who speaks excellent English – was on hand to help with check-in, which was seamless. Even though we only stayed one night, it felt like a home from home. The house had everything we could possibly need and was absolutely spotless. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was gloriously refreshing after a long travel day, and we were even able to relax with Netflix on the TV. The owners have clearly put so much thought and care into this property – they should be very proud. We couldn’t fault a single thing and would happily stay again if we’re ever in the area. Highly recommended!
