Pure perfection! We had a ground floor room, with the perfect view of the Loire and the château. A gorgeous, cosy, but not small room with a beautiful timbered ceiling. The shower room and toilet are separate, so that's a bonus. Breakfast if served in the troglodyte breakfast room. Something that adds to the quirky charm of this hotel. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant across the road. Equally highly recommended.

The location just outside Saumur was very convenient. When approaching the hotel through the narrow alley the excitement increases. The reception by the staff was great and very friendly. The room decoration is very creative, yet completely functional. The cave swimming pool is simply fantastic. We drank the 1/2 bottle of complimentary wine on the terrace in front of the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

We stopped here for several days on our road trip. We stayed in a family suite. This property is absolutely stunning next to vineyards and every detail has been carefully planned. The location is easily accessible by car and allows for various day trips, after which it was nice to go to swimming in the well-maintained swimming pool and enjoy a glass of wine. The family suite/apartment and the entire property are very clean and well-maintained. In addition, the owners are very friendly and professional, which makes this place first-class. It was easy to relax and enjoy our time. We will come again!

Booked last minute as could not find hotel in Saumur.,Wow how lucky were we to find such a gem.A short ride from centre but worth the few miles.Welcomed by the most friendly hosts.Beautiful setting and the pool!! so relaxing.Breakfast was served on the patio as it was a beautiful morning,the food we were given was fresh and local to the area fresh fruit salad, croissants,yoghurts,homemade produce.Do not hesitate to stay here you will not be disappointed.
