This is a pretty Pays Basque village with a fabulous church...

This is a pretty Pays Basque village with a fabulous church at its centre (see my photos). It has all the usual French shops for bread, wine, cheese, pharmacy needs, plus several bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a large hypermarket half way between the village and the hotel, which includes a petrol station and a 24-hour (outdoor) launderette. The hotel is actually a few kilometres out of town but still in the "commune" of St Pee sur Nivelle. There are no facilities (hypermarkets, small shops, bars etc) in reasonable walking distance of the hotel, so you need transport. But the food and bar in the hotel is excellent, as are the staff.

Laura was fantastic and very welcoming. The hotel has a pool that is very clean and we had practically to ourselves. The room was extremely clean and the hotel is located in a beautiful village that is full of good and affordable restaurants. It is also located at about 30 mins from the beaches of Sant Jean de Lus and Hendaye.
