I stayed on a night when it seemed the whole village had come to dinner, plus there were three folk singers singing a cappella. There was all you could eat (and, it seemed, all you could drink) included in the dinner price, and the dining was communal with a place laid out for guests on the long tables (there were another five or six long tables outside). It got sing-songy around 10.30, but all was quiet by midnight. I doubt this was a typical experience, but I'd definitely return again. The breakfast was equally generous, though a lot more quiet. This was a stay as an event.

The apartment was quite dirty at our arrival. For the dining table and tv it must clearly have been a filthy cloth that was used, you can hardly see out of the windows for dust and we found spider webs in many places. Pans and pots were not very clean and in general the kitchen utensils were of poor quality. Furthermore, we threw out old expired sauces, etc. from the fridge. There were - No soap in the bathroom (except for an old used piece left in the closet) - No dishwashing soap (only an old used sponge) - No extra garbage bags - No extra toilet paper When asking about this, we were told by the hostess that "this is something guests must bring themselves". The bathroom was not particularly clean either and the shower drain was almost clogged (from long-term accumulated dirt and hair?) To our big surprise, on the last day a while after we left (after having handed over the keys to a man who apparently had to check the apartment before our departure, which he did), we received a Whatsapp from the hostess complaining that we did not clean the place before we left! We paid almost 400 EUR for three nights and were not at any point informed by the hosts that this was expected. In fact, we have never experienced this in any of the many places we have stayed at during the years. But whoever cleans the place - guests or the property - it was quite obvious that the persons in charge of making sure that everything is in the correct condition for new guests, is not doing a great job... Considering the state of the flat and the service provided, in our opinion the rate was totally overpriced. We would indeed recommend the owners to hire a professional cleaning company to do a main cleaning and to provide a minimum of expected daily products as found in other accommodations to the benefit of future guests.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The owner was exceptional in all our conversations, polite, humorous, and friendly. The food was wonderful, especially the evening meal. The bathrooms, bed linen and towels were very clean. The garden was beautiful and it was lovely to eat out there. The dog was very cute.

This is a small hotel in perfect location for night stop, the staff was very polite, the room was nice and comfortable, Very good breakfast based upon local products, I had dinner- there was a barbeque evening when I stayed with many people attending, a local singer and very good food (reasonably priced).

This hotel is just PERFECT. We stayed over 2 nights to explore the area and cycle the col du Tourmalet, the experience was great. There is a bike rental and repair service on site, plus you can also store them safely during the stay. Wifi works well, the breakfast fine
