I had a really lovely stay at this hotel! It’s in a very peaceful location — absolutely silent at night and perfectly dark for a great sleep. The town is just about a mile away, so it’s close enough to walk yet still quiet and relaxing. My room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Parking was plentiful with no issues at all. I also really appreciated the easy pre check-in process — it made the actual check-in super quick and smooth. Overall, a great place to stay — I’d definitely come back!

We had a truly wonderful stay! My wife and I enjoyed every moment here. The accommodation was beautiful – the room was tastefully decorated, very cozy, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the highlight for us was the charming dormer nook with a sofa and a stunning view – a perfect spot to relax with a book or a glass of wine. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. This place has a special charm, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and outstanding hospitality.

Beautiful BnB, extremely comfortable. Tony really makes the BnB special! He’s an excellent cook and breakfast is exceptional. Recommend going to Nicks down the road for dinner too! 10/10 - I loved my stay. And there’s a gorgeous cat!

Aberfoyle is small but busy obviously busier in the summer but still draws visitors in the winter and it has easy access to Stirling Callander and other towns of interest also cyclists like cycling rural roads

Aberfoyle is a nice little town with a some nice (tourist)...

Aberfoyle is a nice little town with a some nice (tourist) shops . We liked the sheepdog display in front of the Scottish Wool Centre best. Very informative show with different types of sheep, a sheepdog that guides some ducks along a parcours. The show lasts 30mins and is for FREE. Great food at restaurant Fairie Tree Inn. Easy walk (30mins return) to a nice waterfall and a feeding place for red squirrels and lots of birds from the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre. Glasgow in easy distance (45mins by car).

Excellent place for vacation beautiful landscape, sauna, swimming pool and dining wish we could have stayed longer. Tennis court needs repairs . Overall it’s a beautiful place and could recommend anyone looking for peaceful hideout or family vacation for relaxation

I loved everything about The Bield.

I loved everything about The Bield. Aberfoyle is a beautiful area. We had food at The fairies Tree which was lovely. The house was perfect. A great place to stay. There were 13 of us with plenty of room inside. Would definately recommend. The owner was only a phone call away if needed.

Aberfoyle is a fairly small town with small shops, eateries...

Aberfoyle is a fairly small town with small shops, eateries and accommodation. A must visit is the sheep and ducks outside the woollen mill. Seeing ducks being herded by a sheep dog is brilliant. The nearby Dukes Pass, and Queen Elizabeth Forest Park was brilliant for scenery, walks of all abilities, and nature. Go Ape with the zip slides etc is also available for the more adventurous. A really beautiful area and well worth a visit.

Aberfoyle is a beautiful little village.

Aberfoyle is a beautiful little village. You must visit Maggie’s Kitchen. Delicious, traditionally made sweet treats and baked goods. The wool place is really interesting and fun too. Make sure you visit the little wool hut out the front to get wool and woollen goods made from wool off the sheep just outside the door! We didn’t visit any of the cafes or pubs as we were following a specific eating plan.. but they all looked fabulous. Just a lovely part of the world.

We had a wonderful stay at Crannaig House, can't rate it highly enough. Shaun and Kate are absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful, our room was perfect, hot tub was incredible and breakfast was delish. The house is in a great location for exploring Aberfoyle and the surrounding area, will for sure visit again.

The hotel was clean and well located for exploring Aberfoyle. There was a nice lounge to sit in and the grounds were lovely to walk around. Our room was a good size with chairs as well as a bed. The pool and sauna facilities were clean.
